yah you can't say that if he is just learning, personally im on my First truck which is a 93' f150, straight 6. i can tell the difference, but thats about it.

actually its a Straight 6, not inline.

personally i just re-did the exhaust on my straight 6, and camera quality it sounds like a v8 on camera, in person, ofcourse not.

Well, in 1983 Ford along with the rest of the "big 3" converted their engine sizes to the metric system. ( Cubic inches = liters, straight = inline) . This is why all new engines are advertized as liter displacement instead of cubic inches. The term "straight 6" is just a formallity carried over by enthusiasts. Technically, according to Ford motor company, since 1983 they have been called 4.9L "inline" 6's. Inline is basically a fancy term for straight if you ask me. I still use C.I.D myself.

you should be able to find it for almost any model, and the muffler costs about $70, plus instalation charge if you dont wana do it urself

haha my uncles old 79 f 150 had flowmaster stickers on it to try to trick cops. he realy cut off the the muffler and the cat and ran strait pipes out the back right off the headers :D

its a 40 seires flowmaster, 5.8 engine, im workin on replaceing the exhaust system with flowtech heads, magnaflow cats, and true dual straight pipes
