  • Makes me want to put on an arsenic-filled wig and powder my face with lead-based powder... don't know why. Maybe a beauty spot to boot.

  • wonderful...won...der...ful...so beautiful takes me away from almost everything...

  • God Invented It. Thank You.

  • Harpsichord songs make great melody for making 8 Bit Music

  • Harpsichord always reminds me of either London, Rain, the 17th century or Cooking... PLEASE EXPLAIN HOW THEY ARE LINKED!!!

  • Harpsichord, the gentlemanne's choice of instrument.

  • The harpsichord is a refined instrument of precision, it is often reflective in nature, i often find that fans of this noble articulate sound are cultural and wise , that,s been my experience, concerts are never dissapointing, always come away refreshed, love it........<3

  • Astounding. It is incredible how the harpsichord changes my feelings so dramatically like no other instrument, with its delicate and beautiful tones. The wonderful thing about the harpsichord is the fact that it emphasises the skill of the musician so beautifully. It also wonderfully emphasises the spectacular sounds of other stringed instruments such as the cello, bass and violin.

  • I agree - the "sound" is part of the experience! I have no problem with harpsichord music being played on a piano, but - it just isn't the same! Nor would it be the same if modern piano music was played on a harpsichord. Purcell, Bach, and others didn't just put notes onto paper. They had specific sounds or "colors" in mind. No doubt they might be delighted with modern instruments, but their music on them is - for this purist - interpretation, delightful yes, but not exactly as intended.

  • Harpsichord is a very touching instrument to listen to. It brings to me feelings of melancholy I'm sure would make me cry as well if I would be slightly more sensitive. This tune is beautiful! Thank you for posting the vid, though I am not sure if this is Henry Purcell: suite No.2....

  • absolutely beautiful. I really must learn how to play a harpsichord and the violin.

  • The older I get, the more I like istrumental music. The harpsichord and the violin are two instruments that make me contemplate things...and makes the blood pressure smooth out. ;) Thanks for posting this video.

  • I started early, fortunately. :)

The harpsichord really is a contemplative instrument. Not like the piano, with its banging hammers.

  • @pauljsowders I totally agree with you! Another instrument that is very interesting is the Glass Harmonica. Mozart did a couple pieces for it. It has a very unique sound. :) .

  • it sounds so elegant, dont know how to explain

  • Though coming from the piano, the

harpsichord is more and more getting my favourite instrument. Right now I´m so happy having learnt Contrapunctus I.

Yes, and this compilation is really great!!

  • Harpsichord music makes cry and I don't know why.

  • lol, you need antidepressants if harpsichords make you cry. You do realize children are dying of hunger in this world...

  • You have no Soul !!!!!

  • @uncpaul Because you're an over emotional wimp

  • @LiveTheAlexLife You are devoid of life, my friend. Open up your spirit!

  • This is amazing!! An art form that has all been neglected. Thanks for posting.

  • I just love the sound of this instrument. Wonderful compilation!
