  • @BoyneMaiden They'd probably have to be re-engineered with a smaller siphon jet. But as they are I don't think it would work out very well.

  • hi im back with more videos i found a standard comton 2 houses up my street and i have a new video of it coming very soon

  • @starlitetonight Sounds good. I have a '62 Cadet that I'm going to film very soon as well. Stay tuned for that.

  • Last week I replaced my dad's 1997 Titon Euro Toilet w/ this same exact model. I will do a video of it soon.

  • I GOT MY NEW CADET 3 TODAY.

  • @starlitetonight Nice. Can't wait to see a vid.

  • We have this or a similar model, I'll check the model, but it looks and flushes the same. Nevertheless, it's from Oct. 2009, and it replaced a circa 1980s Artesian which never clogged. This one flushes stuff down AWESOME, yet with a HORRIBLE bowl wash, to the KOHLER haters, Cimerron Class 6 bowl wash is WAYY better, sorry to break it to you, just as bad as the Artesian. I would not recommend, but it gets the job done for sure. I'd personally go with a Toto alternatively a KOHLER or else.

  • I read on the internet that these can flush over 150 feet of toilet tissue. I kind of find that hard to beleive. Btw I got a "standard" cadet from 1952 with an octagon base and it pink

  • Nice. I like this.

  • It sounds like a crane atlas

  • Yeah I see what you mean. It's not an open rim toilet though.

  • No it doesnt, doesnt sound anything like a UR/Crane Atlas

  • Only the begining of the flush. The reason why I say it sounds like a crane atlas is because it sounds like water flowing not a wet fart.

  • LOL! I know what you mean. It's funny that a toilet would make a farting noise when it flushes. It's like it's trying to get you back after what you did to it. But if you listen real close you can hear a slight farting sound. It's more audible when you flush one of these in person.

  • @sanders8323 The 70's and 80's model Cadets are notorious for farting. It's as if to remind you of what you just did.

  • I think this one flushes better than my current one.

  • Is this a pressure assist toilet?

  • No, it has a tank, but it flushes similarly to a pressure assisted toilet.

  • i wonder how this would flush with a flushometer...hmmmm...

  • Probably not as good. The bowl would need a redesign.

  • maybe but they aint got shit on the flushmate models. I will stick with american made models.

  • True. They're very powerful.

  • much better than toto.

  • I've used both this and the Toto Drake. The Drake wins hands down. It's a more thorough flush and has a better bowl rinse.

  • yeah but the Drake is rated at 900 and the Cadet 3 at 1000

  • @CRANEPlumbing So this is actually better than the drake. hmmmmm Im suprised

  • We installed one in April. Loved it until it started to disintegrate and stain (inside the bowl where the water sits). Plumber said it wasn't fired properly. Home Depot will exchange it. But we have to pay to have the old one removed and the new one put it. Amercian Standard REFUSES to cover this reinstallation. There goes another $150. Is that a rip off or not?

  • y dont u put it in?

  • American Standard's quality control isn't what it used to be. You have to go through the boxes and check each toilet before you can find a decent one. Thankfully when I bought this toilet it wasn't defective. It was the first one I grabbed off the shelf and I didn't even look in the box. I guess I got lucky.

  • what do you look at to tell its not defected

  • Look at all surfaces of the bowl and tank to make sure there are no cracks so that leakage would occur. Make sure the rim holes and siphon jet are clear. Check to see if the tank parts look good.

  • that was a little loud for a siphon jetted. did that ever clog?

  • No. The Cadet 3 is a very clog resistant toilet. Believe me I tested it to its limits. I threw 8 balled up paper towels in. They went down without a problem.

  • wow. i am either replacing my toilet with this or a kohler cimmeron one-piece. i read some reviews that that bowl wash was not great. with this toilet (cadet 3), u wrote american standards quality is not great. i dont know what to choose. what do u recommend?

  • I'd recommend the Cadet 3 over the Cimarron. Kohler's quality isn't as good as as it was about 15 years ago. I'd say quality between Kohler and AS is equal. The bowl wash on the Cadet 3 is better than the Cimarron. They both flush about the same so I'd go with the Cadet 3.

  • and they are so easy to install

  • I already installed a Kohler Cimmaron Class Six Flushing mechanism and it flushes great! The next toilet I will soon replace, I will get the Cadet 3.

  • u install it urself

  • tri clanneg your bot on a tolet yas a wipes pot on a diaper a big pepple diaper

  • mine scares me some-times!

  • a clean toilet is a happy toilet

  • good flush

  • COOL! I have one that does that too! :-0

  • What brand of toilet is that?

  • That is an American Standard Cadet 3.

  • Thanks a bunch! Was going to buy a Toto Dalton but availability would have forced me to do mail order. The Terry Love forum on cadet 3 is truly impressive and so I am off to Lowes today to grab one especially after seeing this video.

  • That is fuckin awesome man.
