@lemonluver99 Tim said a few weeks ago that if he could find a publisher for it, he would love to make a sequel, but he's having trouble because this one didn't sell well. I promised him I would fund it myself if I got fabulously wealthy before he finds another publisher. He considered the conversation legally binding.
Ive seen other videos of this game on the original xbox version it has good graphics for an original xbox game. I want it pretty bad but cant find in stores.
I only played through to the island on 360 but it all seemed perfect (I was playing off of the original disc). I think that they only sell Xbox originals as downloads if they've already perefected the emulation for a game.
i'm just now getting an xbox 360 and i want to know what each bumper represents. is it right bumper black button, left bumper white button or vice versa?
I've heard a little bit about Psychonauts before, as critics praised it but there weren't too many gamers that were interested in it (I think that's how its mass appeal went). I somewhat knew that the game would take place in dreams, but I thought it was made years before 2005 for the original PlayStation :P. This seems to be a pretty humorous game, too. I thought what the professor meant by "Get in there!" at first was to get eaten by the lungfish. Gogglelor: a nod to giant monster films.
I love how they implemented news reports, too (it reminds me of some of the cutscenes from the Ratchet and Clank games). I saw that an item that was passed by on top of the dam; was that important? Looks like this game can get tricky at parts, especially during the fight against Kochamara. I'm guessing that this portion take place near the end of the game since Rez was lead to where Lily was being held captive. This game also had some pretty decent voice acting. It looks like a good platformer.
By the way, I'm not sure if you were waiting for anyone to say this, as it could be the reason that the video was uploaded in the first place, but that's a really cool intro used for the Xbox (360) games. I didn't fully catch it the first time I viewed this video :P.
I try to make Superpcenginegrafx parodies of all console intros. I originally made this one for some Phantasy Star Universe footage that I never wound up uploading.
The game was made for Xbox. It was one of the many games that Microsoft funded but then dropped at the last minute. When they finally found a publisher, they made them do a PS2 port as well. It also turned out very well, but it's still not as nice as the Xbox version.
The humour is all of the place and is the game's priority over everything else. It's still a good and fun game overall, but functionally it's a mismash of several different concepts.
You certainly do a good job creating those introductions. Whoops. I heard the lungfish (Lll-eerrr-daaa) call him by his full name, but I wasn't sure how to spell it, so I'd attempted to write his short name instead. I've never seen an episode of Deep Space 9, so I can't be sure who that is in this game.
I knew this game was for the PlayStation 2 and Xbox from research, but I did not know it was made PRIMARLY for the latter. I guess the "difficulty" has to do with the functionality, then? The humor is indeed properly placed.

@lemonluver99 Because it didn't do well in sales. People don't like originality.

so how does the game play on the 360
i was thinking about downloading it
thesatanic6 2 years ago
The 360 pad is way better and the 360 improves the graphics.
superpcenginegrafx 2 years ago
yeah i was thinking about the gamplay itself

so why didnt you play some more
like trough the whole game
thesatanic6 2 years ago
I've finished the game a few times on Xbox. I just never got around to completely finishing a couple of plays on 360.
superpcenginegrafx 2 years ago
so do you think it is a good download for the x360
thesatanic6 2 years ago
Only if you don't own the Xbox disc version. I'd still recommend it to those who've only played the downgraded PS2 version. It's a cool and fun game.

That particular item was probably the 1up.
The hero's name is Raz. It's short for Rasputin.
While you're playing it it does seem like you're near the end, but you're probably on about 2/3 through.
They hired professional actors for the voice work. The one actor that I remember for sure is Armin Shimerman (Quark from DS9).
