I got the wrong idea of what the Alpha Course was while watching this video. Got confused on the website lol when I saw it was held in like 15 churches in my city.
I am a member of Holy Trinity Brompton, where NIcky GUmbels preaches. I can tell you quite honestly that behind the scenes the knives are out. They are such control freaks. People who disagree are punished by being excluded from all social events, and can even be surrounded by bullies and physically removed.
The real church does not have hierarchy - there is no abuse of power - as there is at HTB

Yes, I agree that, religion, as in the idea that to get to heaven you have to do good things, is not the way to get into heaven, but a relationship with Jesus. And I believe you can just ask the holy spirit into your life. Jesus did say that whoever follows him will get to the father.
There's a lot more to it than that, but I wouldn't go so far as to say that because I don't agree with the idea of religion, the Vatican...

He doesn't condemn gays & Muslims to hell. He invites gays & Muslims to accept his gift of forgiveness through Christ. That invitation is extended to them every bit as much as it is extended to anyone else. They are not excluded. If they should decide to reject the invitation then they have made that decision. But the invitation is given to them as openly and lovingly as it is given to all of us.

To be strong or not has nothing to do with if you are gay or not. What it has to do with is a lot of praxis and your will to believe it.

Well most people who are lost in the wilderness isnt normally bodybuilders, or sportsmen/women and dont have special mentally strength, but the most of them are rescued because their friends are worried because they didnt return the time they said they would be back. The most important thing is to stay alive, and do thing that can make other people see where you are- f.ex. fire with a lot of smoke, different places and sos with some shining stuff, ex. a mirror or metal.
Yes yes your completly right in that. And even a gay or a weak woman can make signal fire and reach the helicopter see her. :D But making shelter, get water and food,and survive the wet and cold nights full with wild animals is another story :D

You dont need physical strength to survive (ex. bodybuild like) just because you need to build a shelt. As i told you, what you need is a strong will to live. If you have a strong will then you of course have a good mental capacity, thats an irreversible proces.

Or what if the ice broke benife you and you fall into the water? If your body and your heart not enough tough than you die in that moment.....

Ok we are all different. Anyway i believe in the mentally state, but its always good to be both mental and physical ready to cope with the big world out there. So i dont say its bad to be physical healthy, but not the most important thing to cope with the worlds different challenges.

He doesn't condemn gays & Muslims to hell. He invites gays & Muslims to accept his gift of forgiveness through Christ. That invitation is extended to them every bit as much as it is extended to anyone else. They are not excluded. If they should decide to reject the invitation then they have made that decision. But the invitation is given to them as openly and lovingly as it is given to all of us.

@jcncnc what are you talking about? as far as i can tell from this message, you are indicating that muslims are given the chance of accepting forgiveness through christ? Who is offering that? bear or christians? if you mean christians, then are they also supposed to accept forgiveness from other christians? you raise a lot of discriminatory questions.. what about vice versa? christians accept forgiveness through profet muhammad? or christ as well?

i really can't see any connection between bear grylls running around an island and a course about god. so is there some sort of practical component in the alpha course? or is it people talking about letting god into our lives.
and survivorguy do you actually have a basis for thinking that sexuality in any way effects physical strength or are you just doing a bit of fishing?

To be strong or not has nothing to do with if you are gay or not. What it has to do with is a lot of praxis and your will to believe it.
By the way, you dont have to be strong to help another person, cause it has to do with have good you can organize yourself. The following actions are depended on that.

Well most people who are lost in the wilderness isnt normally bodybuilders, or sportsmen/women and dont have special mentally strength, but the most of them are rescued because their friends are worried because they didnt return the time they said they would be back. The most important thing is to stay alive, and do thing that can make other people see where you are- f.ex. fire with a lot of smoke, different places and sos with some shining stuff, ex. a mirror or metal.

Yes yes your completly right in that. And even a gay or a weak woman can make signal fire and reach the helicopter see her. :D But making shelter, get water and food,and survive the wet and cold nights full with wild animals is another story :D

Don,t tell me you dont need phisicly strenght to survive. If you are not enough strong than you just crying and pray for god to help you out trouble. Maybe you will survive but you are just suffering and crying like a little girl if you are weak. You dont need physical strength to survive (ex. bodybuild like) just because you need to build a shelt. As i told you, what you need is a strong will to live. If you have a strong will then you of course have a good mental capacity, thats an irreversible proces.

Or what if the ice broke benife you and you fall into the water? If your body and your heart not enough tough than you die in that moment.....

Omg. you can actually die of nearly anything. what if a lion are attacking you? then it doesnt matter if you are strong or not, then its actually better if you are mental strong. What if you broke a leg then it doesnt matter if you are muscular. What if.........
To finish this up you have to be mental strong, cause if you are that, you can go through your life without too many problems you cant handle.
Get a power, believe that the power can help you through the difficulties.

Ok we are all different. Anyway i believe in the mentally state, but its always good to be both mental and physical ready to cope with the big world out there. So i dont say its bad to be physical healthy, but not the most important thing to cope with the worlds different challenges.

I traning myself for phisicly strenght right now because i wanna be tough and i wanna be survivior....... But i don,t know how can i tran myself mentally...... Only god can give mentally power and the rest is depends on you. I think if your body is tough enough than you can survive anything.

Im sure you know why he is doing Alpha. It gives him the power to simply go through the life- even to manage the most difficult situation. Its not that he know never is afraid, but that it give him the guts to manage the situation even if he is. Its good for you that its enough to be strong and manage what life has to give you that way, but its not enough for me and its not enough for Bear.
