It's not okay to disappear. It fucks with their head so it's confusing and then painful for a long time instead of like quickly ripping off the band aid. It's straight up unethical. The two times I have dumped girls I did it right. I talked it through with them. It's not that hard, just prepare yourself. I have had girls break up with me by avoiding me or doing it through text. Sure it was when I was young but it's still cowardly and unethical at any age.

This is great advice bill. Your podcast gave me the courage to end a relationship I was scared to end. I was willing to just "see how it goes" just to not see my girlfriend of almost 3 years cry her eyes out and be the first one to break her heart. I just knew neither of us were happy and we were settling, but I have to say its not just the next "3 or so hrs" that suck , if you really loved the girl the next month or more sucks... thanks for the advice bill

the women not calling is done out of spite and cowardice. Men dont call because they dont want the confrontation and it pisses women off because we will sit by the phone and wait because we dont get the hint untill the guy says im not into you, women will make excuse after excuse. Therefore when a woman does the ignore it and it will go away route they do it out of the same non confrontational cowardice that men do it but they have the "now he knows how it feels" excuse to justify the act.

@bijouxmiu I agree. Bill was a bit off on this one. :P My friends ex (19) broke up with my friend at a fucking family dinner while celebrating his birthday ffs. Women don't give a shit about your feelings or about how uncomfortable it is to break up with you. The reason the woman did this is out of spite. She probably wasn't getting whatever it is she wanted from you and so out of frustration decided to make you squirm before ending it. Why "reschedule" the date if she's planning on ending it?
