It's really easy, mate. Basically, make a "thumbs up" with your right hand, and slap one of the strings with the side of your thumb (try to hit the string with the bony bit in the middle). UD's chorus bassline is based on octaves, so you'd be doing that for the lower notes of the octave on the lower strings; for the higher notes on the higher strings, get the string under your fingertips and just pop it! Takes a bit of practice to get up to speed :)

@coldplay4ever1 It's called Slap Bass. You can look up tutorials almost anywhere, but essentially you hit the string with your thumb, and pull the octave note away from the fretboard, so it "pops" the string. It's quite simple once you get the hang of it.

@Wuvdeer the string guage simply refers to the thickness of the strings. The higher the gauge the thicker the string. For example if you have an E string that is 0.100" that is considered a "Light" 0.105 would be considered "Medium" and 0.110" would be considered "Heavy"... there are all sorts of inbetweens such as extra light or medium light, ect... but that's the general guist of what they are refering to when it comes to string guage.
