Bathory started an entire genre of based on mythology and blasphemy, which is far more interesting and simply just kicks more ass, the instruments here just kick way more ass than Nickleback ever did, when you shock people and get fans, you are a true artist, when you play to make 13 year olds wet, = big mainstream dorks.

Bathory truly captures that sort of barbaric nordic feel that viking metal should have. Personally, I think that Folk Metal really draws attention away from the dwindling viking metal genre, we need bands more along the same vein as bathory, not Fintroll...
