Tried everything to get an AVI movie into the Innotab. Tried reformatting it to MJPEG...The Innotab did not recognize it. Copied it directly to the SD card (LLN/Movies). The Innotab does not recognize it. When I press the videos icon on the Innotab, all that comes up is the pre-installed demo. This is maddening!! Any suggestions? Thanks. Jroxx7
@jroxx777 wow thats frustrating, i cant understand why it wouldnt be recognizing it? I just take the file (not the folder, just the file) and drag and drop it into the LLN Movies folder in the SD card via 'my computer'
You can use Xvid Codec as well as 30 frames per second. Not sure why they suggest lower quality in the manual, Motion Jpeg is a horrible codec and makes bigger file sizes. Use Xvid Avi 1:1 quality, small file size.
@kiddzoomvideocam using graboid i downloaded the movie and then dragged and dropped the .avi file into the innotab computer once it was plugged into my computer. we have Windows Vista not XP but it should work the same no matter the Windows system you are using
Once all your setting or in place press convert and your finished. Just plug in your Innotab and drag the movie into the movie tab of the Innotab folder and your finished. Once again thanks so much it helped me out so much. I also got my movie downloads from Graboid.
OMG thank's so much after 2days of trying I finally got it to play a movie on the Innotab for my son. With the help of "any video converter" witch i downloaded for free. Once it was downloaded it's ready to go, choose the format you like " AVI" Then Type In all your settings witch I got form "Snowboardercom67."
oh ok :) cheers, I read the manual an it says that information in it no worrys will just have to wait for my SD card to arrive and go from there, thanks again :)
i have no clue as far as video conversion goes, the.avi file that you see there is Shrek the 3rd, it says 699 MB 640x272 25 frames/second 153kbps bitrate hope that helps you :)
Video Resolution: 320X240 pixel @ 15 fps, Videos: AVI (Motion JPEG) are these the right converter settings for getting moives to play on the innotab?? any help would be great :D thanks.
connect to computer using usb provided, open with my computer and the drag and drop files into the corresponding Learning Navigator files that it will create the first time you connect the innotab to the computer and open up that navigator program
it only takes .avi formatted movies from what i know. and jpeg pictures not mjepg or anything else. you might try googling for a file converter program
this tablet is available on a website called "MYLILTOYBOX" for $ 79.99

I used the program "HandBrake" for mac to rip a DVD and upload it on the innotab, here's the info for the HandBrake rip:
Format: MP4 file
Video Codec: H.264 (x264)
Framerate (FPS): Same as Source
Quality: constant quality RF: 20
(check for the "Target Size (MB)" to be on 700 grayed out and Average bitrate (kbps): to be on 1500 grayed out)
after rip is complete, go to the file and change the .mp4, or .m4v to .avi upload it to the MOVIES folder on innotab and thats it,
