  • It's amazing how careful this elephant is with each stroke. Awesome!

  • I love the fact that not only is he intelligent enough to paint a picture, he also recognizes when a line is too light and he has to paint over it

  • What is the purpose of dis-liking this video?!

Honestly are people soo jealous they can't paint lmao

  • This is the most amazing thing! What an aesthetic sense. The picture is just beautiful.

  • i love the music!

  • the owner of that elephant is so lucky

  • is interesting appreciate how the animals can feel and paint the environment they understand the nature !!

  • 6 people are human supremacists.

  • That elephant is a genius.

  • Awkward moment when an elephant is better at art then you

  • WAAAW!! CAN HE GIVE ME LESSONS? :D

  • I cant even do that :'(

  • Can elephants see colour? Watching this makes me believe they have a similar colour range as humans do.

  • @ohmycaribou yes they can and its very similar

  • @passengerplanetearth watch?v=iVx9W3vcsJY

This a Thai oldies song ... "Baan boan doi" [Home on the moutain]

  • i like it

  • I work with these elephants in Thailand and can tell you that it is not fake nor is any elephant tortured or abused or forced to paint. If you want to know the truth just come visit the camps and see for yourselves

  • this is fake trust me. i just read an article on it. the elephant handler tugs at the elephants ears to make horizontal and vertical lines and dots. but this doesnt mean that elephants are not extremely intelligent. dailymail.co. uk/sciencetech/article-1151283/Can-jumbo-elephants-really-paint--Intrigued-stories-naturalist-Desmond-Morris-set-truth.html

    take out the space

  • You all sound like the PITA FUCKS, FOR CHRIST SAKE..lts talent pure and simple....plus wtf else have the Elephants have to do...maybe they like it, you fucking idiots~~~~ Trez the Pleaser

  • The Elephant is trained and forced to draw these. Good talent I guess but nothing creative and these tailand cons are making a killing

  • @chizoioioi And you know this how? bring a source instead of a false accusation

  • THINK!

How can such an intelligent and powerful animal be tought to perform tricks for stupid tourists? By pure torture! Do NOT visit such performances, nor take elephant rides or go to a circus!

Look in Youtube for these searchwords:

    * behind the Siamese smile

    * Thai elephants - abused entertainment

This is how they are trained. Framed and tortured with bullhooks, fire and beaten with steel pipes. Depraved of food and water for days or weeks, until they break. Or die.

    Nice paintings!

  • @SieChen They teach them with love and care. All Thai love elephants!!

Think before post, or if you know nothing about this farm - you'd better keep quiet. Thanks.

  • Search YouTube for 'Can elephants really paint" to see how these animals get abused for 'our' entertainment...including this so called painting. This is sick.

  • Are they trained to do this, or is it natural talent?

  • beautifully amazing

  • I wonder what an elephant painting would sell for.

  • Four elephants thumbs down

  • Wonderful, wonderful!

  • they can actions these for millions of dollars to the rich and fifthy people.

  • This elephant must be an artist in his pervious life.........

  • @Brannruz oye...tranquilo viejo, disfruta o vete

  • @Droamen ...

  • So cool, elephants teaching us how to paint!

  • aww that was wonderful ; )

  • great video, not sure it was the elephant though, the trunk dont move right, but hey. It was awesome, thanks for sending it

  • @whah31 what do you know Whah? you should know how a trunk moves. when did you become the expert on elephant trunks? visit an ape vid instead, that's more your speed.

  • @GgIiibByY ALWAYS KNEW YOU WERE A RACIST SCUM BAG. REFERANCE THE APE GAG.

  • Elephants are so talented and amazing. i still can't believe that they can paint! The elephant can paint better than i can! how is that possible?

  • @lolpeople654 kwno also this:birds have inteligence and monkeys have their own language and they co-op and solve puzzles with logic.i was seeing david attenborugh documentaries and i ended up seeing monkeys solving puzzles and comunicating how to get their food.at the end 1 monkey was geting the food and was sharing it to others.humans r rly not special.its just we have such big egos.u also know that animals have feelings like love hate fear beeing angry and stuff?

  • i love animals more than people, and this video confirms

  • Amazing!

  • Yea elephants r so amazing i can not paint like that at all thats so awsome

  • who cares if the trainer is helping its still mainly the elephan that chooses what 2 do soo yeah its pretty amazing

  • lol go asian elephants not to be racist tho lol i am asian yea are animals are smart lol

  • The elephant's trainers are tugging at the hair on the elephants ears slowly which has been pre-taught to the elephant to produce specific movement in their trunk. So the lifetime trainer guides the elephant's trunk specifically on the canvas. The impressive part isn't the painting itself, but the muscle control of the elephant. So there isn't really elephant creativity, more the illusion of.

Also, the each elephant paints the same picture every day for years.

  • pretty sure the trainer is moving the elephants tusk around to make the picture

  • YOU ARE THE DUMBEST PERSON IN THE WORLD.

  • wow completely great im so speechless!!!

  • thats truly amazing..Gods creatures

  • Sounds like some people are ridiculously negative, no matter what joy you bring them. Personally I think most animals are more intelligent than humans. They don't hate one another just because they are different. They accept one another for what they are. By the way, what does the bible have to do with elephants? I didn't see the original post only the reply.

  • @Azmerelda1

Humans are animals, and its been proven we have the highest level of organized critical and creative thinking of any animal we know of (can you name an elephant that can find out how to build a car or a computer?), of course, however, that doesn't mean animals are dumb. They do however attack and even kill each other and hate each other like humans do too. Don't be fooled. Animals get violent and hateful, and humans ARE animals, that kind of behavior is expected from many species

  • I m sure i gonna put some of these elephants as my painting teacher!

  • Call me a skeptic. This reminds me too much of facilitated communication for autistic children--which is a hoax. Thinking critically about this. Why is there always a human accompanying the elephant, as if to guide the elephant's motions? I have no doubt elephants are smart and for all I know they do primitive drawings in the wild, but for an elephant to paint like this seems like BS.

  • @deepskyblue the only thing that the person is doing is giving the elephant the paint, and the elephant is doing the rest

  • @deepskyblue Even if there was a human accompanying you, you still couldn't draw this well. And elephants can do primitive drawings in the wild? Well, you just said how smart they are. And it's a proven fact that they never forget what they learn. But i guess that since they have a human accompanying them with the paint and brushes, the picture that this elephant just drew in front of the camera is b.s. Right!!!!

  • I could paint that well, but not with my nose.

  • @dr4mus why do you say this?

  • @dr4mus Elephants aren't mentioned in the bible because it was written by human men who hadn't discovered them in Africa yet. End of.

  • Amazing....... it only took me 1 hour to train him to paint this picture....wonderful what he will be able to do after a 2 hour session.

  • Oh my god... painting elephants, it means that elephants can actually create concepts, which is supposedly the intelligence that differs us from animals amazing!!!!!!

  • -_- i can't paint as well as elephants....

  • EXTRAODINARY ELEPHANT!!!

  • see my poppy

  • This is amazing. please keep ojn uploading, This is so beautiful it brings me to tears. I love elephants. <3

    Amanda

  • @artali1 oh i would have written the exact same thing as you , the same reaction, the same feeling :) ... i find it beautiful, so like other said, i do hope they are treated with respect and honor :)

  • nice, abstract still life, many people cant do it. the brush stroke. many people, even an artist, cant duplicate it.

  • Beautiful an very sad the way animals are treated like their are's to own,, i hope this beautiful intelligent animal is treated with love an respect,, May thee creator bless all thee animals, i only hope one day people will understand that they should be treated with love an respect, they deserve it... this footage is amazin though,, wow!

  • Whether they paint it from memory or not who cares it's amazing still. Let's see you paint something like that.

  • fyi elephants don't paint this way of their own volition, they have been trained to duplicate images for sale to tourists. inquiring minds can find TRUE creations from elephant artists. see elephant art gallery spotting a fake

  • Well, I should learn from the elephant how to paint. He is good.

  • it made me cry! god!

  • the elephant just wants them poppy plants...

  • That elephant wants a bigger canvas.

  • what a bunch of seriously dumb comments.. open your eyes shut your clap-trap and see the beauty

  • Their eyes are facing down, they see the ground and their friends asses most, they dont look up too much :P

  • Is there any prompting as far as what to draw from the handler? I can undrestand them chosing the color, but if they give them signals as to what to draw it kinda takes themagic out of it. I want to think this is something the elephants just want/like to do. But given mans tendancy to make performers out of them in the past, i have to wonder :S

  • your taking the magic out of it all by yourself

  • *you're

magic has to be there first before i could take it out m8. I am just trying to establish whether it was or not.

  • *undrestand m8

your a twat, and an idiot, you are taking the magic out of it for yourself, theres no such thing as magic its all in your head, therefore you have taken the magic out of it for yourself. Thanks for the grammer lesson, you clearly lead by example V

  • @casperfaust : I have seen lots of these videos. The elephants are painting a LOT faster than anyone could be prompting them to. They are not just dabbing away at the canvass like a monkey or a child. Their strokes are quick, deliberate and accurate. If that isn't magical in and of itself given the fact that humans think they are the only intelligent life on the planet then I don't know what magic means.

  • Thanks for helping to answer my question and not just unloading some flame. By magic all i meant was the spark of creativity that dwells in most things. You are right, if they are doing this without prompting as you say then this is an example said "magic". A simple concept that teddymeledy never could grasp it seems lol :P

  • beats van gogh

  • rofl, opening line you make the same "your" mistake again. Kinda hard to take anything seriously after that.

  • I find it strange that the angle of their pictures is much closer to the ground than should be the case with a tall animal like the elephant. Their view of things should be other than ours and therefor I think if they could draw of own free will their paintings would be different from how these look.

  • Elephants aren't as tall as you seem to think. Look at the end of the video, the elephant's maybe a foot taller than the human. Not a significant difference that would show up in a painting.

  • I would do art as a subject if that elephant was my teacher! XD

  • but he knows when he has to take the colors and at wich part of this picture

  • elephants are amazing

  • They have good control of their trunk and good memory. They don't understand what they are painting, not at all.

  • they didn't choose the color. trainer did.

...i wonder what would the picture be when the trainer let them choose the color?

  • I wanna know what happend if you take the brush. u r more animal than them

  • fascinating

  • if the elephant can see these flowers in his/her minds eye then they should be able to dream and image

  • Exactly. : )

  • I think that the elephants enjoy painting. It's just like a recreational thing like for people!!! It is definately NOT abuse!!!!!!!

  • Plus you can't train them WHAT to paint... they just do. Thats the amazing part.

  • Its amazing how they just paint for fun! It makes me so happy to see that they are creative and like flowers! I hear that all elephants paint flowers and other elephants. What a coincidence!...seriously...can't train them WHAT to paint? come on...

  • These elephants are really good at painting! They're better than a LOT of PEOPLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D:D:D:D:D AMAZING!!!!!!!

  • Incredible!!!!!

  • beautiful.. i hope the elephant isin't abused.

  • one that i noticed about elephants is that they are wagging their tails and flapping their ears when they are painting....do you think they really enjoy painting??

  • "do you think they really enjoy painting??"

Why wouldn't they? Why do you like painting, why dose anybody?

  • Can you imagine the life of this Ele compare another one that live in the Zoo. Here's at least they live in the open space and they have some activities to do. Can you only stay in the cage without any activity, Eat and sleep!
