Tell me if you agree....Back in the old days, Slash didn't have signature gear or custom guitars. They all had to make their own sound. I really belive that people nowa day are dwelling too much in other peoples style or gear and that they should start to make their own sound and style. Thunbs up if you agree....thumbs up is you read this and still thought that this is a fucking mean ass video.
jeez do ya think Slash has enough sig models, i can't keep up but this gold top sounds great can do w/o the tophat though! i was looking into an epi GT i guess now i have to find a used one or go w/ this sig guitar or shell out 3k for a Gibson.
or am i wrong do they still make an epi goldtop (besides the slash model)?
Love my '98 Limited Edition gold sparkle epi! Been playing it for 12 years now. It is now my number one over my Gibson S/G. and my Ibenez Rocket Roll II. Man, It play's like butter and I never had it set up. I recommend it to anyone who can't afford to pay for a pure Gibson. Most of them have Gibson necks anyway, At least mine does and it says so on the neck.. I notice any Epi under, Let's say $250.00, You will have to change your pots out within a year but you still have a solid guitar.
@TheJetfighter666 Lol, its funny cuz Ive been tryin to sell it. Not that I really want to, but I like guitars more built for pick attack, Ibanez, Jackson etc. So If I could get a good offer on it, I'd sell. But I have no problem km keeping it for now :) lol
its like 1500. or more, maybee a bit less, its a investment, just get a regular les paul epiphone with dos pickups and u'll have the same thing. and the fact that its and epiphone for that much is ridiculous, u can get a les paul gibson studio for 1000. i bought a really good les paul epiphone (top quality for epiphone) and got the pickups and ang a really good marshall, o but it helps that i bought it the day that les paul passed away (RIP) cuz the store had a massive sale.
I have both the guitar and pedal as well, though I seem to be having a lot of problems with the pedal. Every time I want to use it even if for just 5 mins, I have to replace the batteries. There's no way it goes through batteries like that. Any tips?
Are you usin rechargable batteries those things wont last. If not there is a short that's draining the battery go have it checked with an electrician it's no biggie.
well i have an epiphone and i know its not the same as gibson but i do know also that the alnico pro have a more crunchier feel more for heavy rock or metal ...i stick with the original onesbecouse you can get a good heavy rock sound with a very pretty blues sound
the slash one is abit better then the elitist, but it really just depends on your style.. go to the guitar shop, try them both and then see what suites you
When activated it is fine UNTILL the last say 10% of the pivot when going towards my heal going back, there is a massive drop in volume,it is not my setup as i simply go Guitar - Slash wah - Marshal JCM 2555sl SLASH 100W head - Marshall cab Its driving me crazy, please please PLEASE help?
I love this wah pedal but i think that a batch was defective or something because i've heard some that were a perfect slash wah sound and some that sounded like absolute shit. I don't even know anymore.
im thinking of buying this,.....a B.C. Rich Mockingbird slash signature red, line 6 spider 3 amp a slash wah or kirk hammet wah...im wondering witch wah i should get ?
Ugh, first of all DO NOT get that amp! Save up, get a tube combo or AT LEAST a Peavy Vypyr, which are MUCH better cheap modeling amps than the Spiders. Second, the kirk hammett is much better for metal. The slash wah has had a very shrill and inconsistent sweep in my experience.
well..im a beginer not a big good guitarrist..maybe when im better..i can get those big fancy amps and guitarsb and big pedal gadgets and stuff....but i can play a few intros of songs and 1 whole song..thats how much i suck
my friend has the BCR Mock/Slash...well and I wouldnt suggest it, and he wouldnt too...it has got too many pots which you dont even use and the electronics tend to do a mess, but it has a fine neck...the only thing I like about it. Buy a les paul
Well the thing with the Mock circuit, is that just because you or your friend doesn't use all the controls, the booster the coil taps and phase switches and things of that nature, doesn't mean it's a bad guitar. If you want simple controls, then the Mock might not be for you, but you also don't have to use them. The BCR is a quality instrument, and a great deal for the price. I have 2 BCRs and 2Epiphones, and I'll stand behind both brands. So like many things its all a matter of preference =]
i use the boss v-wah (got it as a gift) and its fine but my amp sounds totally different and it actually quite annoying that wah changes the sound even tough i didnt stepped on it ..
Ok do you mean when you have it activated but sitting in one position it changes the sound, or the sound is thinner when the wah is totally turned off but still plugged in?
If its the first one, the only thing you can do is buy a wah that automatically deactivates when you aren't rocking on it, like the Bad Horsie II wah i believe.
i went to guitar center andi nedded a wha pedal so i tryed out this the original crybaby, the zack wylde custom wha pedal, the crybaby from hell and this one, i didnt see the differnce between the normal guitar sound and when i used the slash pedal so i went with the crybaby from hell, ishoud have gone with this one
I love the range on the wah. Very wide range. I have just a regular Dunlop Crybaby and the range is good, but this just has such a noticeable fluctuation in tones. Killer ass tone.
