On the 27Mhz band, Channel 35 LSB (27.355Mhz)

You won't get international contacts on uhf cb unless it is linked thru the internet.

Another good channel is 38 LSB (27.385Mhz), for stateside contacts.

The band conditions willbe alot better in about 2 years time, you will here the states booming in most days.

The summer skip season has started, hearing aussie stations most days over here in the north island of nz.

Things should get better late dec and january.
