  • You watch your tail cowboy!

  • Only Great... Nothing more to say.

  • 松田勇作すげぇ。

    狂気を演じさせたら、松田勇作かジャックニコルソンかだ。

  • I am desperately looking for this song on itunes to buy, but i cannot find it! anyone can help? is it under a special name, other than "black rain theme"? can i find it anywhere else? thx!

  • @noir030

Google "JDownloader" and copy the link of this video into it, then download the .mp3 file.

  • better than miami vice

  • just ordered the movie cant wait too see it again its been years

  • Cooles fucking movie ever!!!!!

  • блять! охуенно!

  • one of the best noir films ever, old fashion cops movie, excellent

  • Very lush, dripping with class. From a time when the footage they shot, it was honest, no cgi, yet they had benefit of all the evolution of real film decades of the industry could master.

Drama that approached pretentious, but backed off a notch leaving the story to stand on its own.

Douglas was on a roll in those days- hell we all were.

What cost to roll back time 22 years? Ask again in 2033, our fortunes are always now.

  • best song of movies

  • sounds a bit like one of the tracks used in Metal gear solid: snake eater, the intro anyway

  • @TheElchampion85

    RIP Sato

  • After I saw this movie back in the day this became 1 of my favorite movies,Andy Garcia and Michael Douglas became some of my favorite actors and UB40's version of The Way You Do The Things You Do became 1 of my favorite songs

  • very underated endeed;

  • @toymouse44 he died way too young

  • Enormously talented theme that makes the movie

  • One of my favorite movies ever.

  • top 5 action movies ever!

  • 6 assholes didnt like this, fuck'em.......BLACK RAIN >classic!!!

  • R.I.P Yusaku Matsuda

  • ★Black Rain is substantially Blade Runner2. Ridley Scott failed to make a Blade Runner set in Japan.

So he retried it at Black Rain.

As a matter of fact, Ridley Scott was going to make a film like Black Rain in which

many Japanese played and location is Japan, as Blade Runner.

★Yes, for Ridley Scott, Black Rain is the true Blade Runner and Blade Runner is a fake one.

  • Just got this in Blu-Ray... It was so beautiful I cried

  • @dagame81790 Were you high? I mean it's a great film... But I don't knof if it's THAT great.

  • @GoldeneyePwner

It's very well done. Believe me on that one.

  • Ridley Scott....great movies, excellent soundtracks.

  • the best of the best hanz zimmer theme number one

  • classic!!!!

  • A really inspiring film this,..... Life is not Black & White.... just cause I made a few wrong decisions doesn't make me a bad person......

  • Yakuza are the most feared!

  • classic movie. they don't make them like this any more sad really

  • @christm5

100% agree, something about films made during these times can never be duplicated nowadays.

  • Hans Zimmer rules...

  • "HEY NOODLES...

    Ya gonna hurt yourself."

  • This is one of those films that you probably see because you really have nothing else to do, but before its over it becomes one you never forget

  • @TalismanTImes True story man. I've just watch it for the first time ;o And - to be honest - i did it for Zimmer's music. Fantastic.

  • This movie is definately in my top five of all time. I get goosebumps in that scene at the end of the movie where Nick gives the money plates to Masumoto. Absolute classic.

  • This is not Tokyo, this is Osaka.

Tokyo Government and 'Metropolitan Police Department' did not permit shooting scenes.

but Ridley Scott made a amazing movie.

  • Top Notch Film & Incredible Musical Score

I'm thinking political correctness may have robed this one of the critical acclaim it really deserved..............

  • This flick without question is one of the best i have ever seen to date. U have seen this flick one too many timea and I was blown away at the uniqueness of this flick in terms of where it was set as well as the deep emotion from Charlie's death.

I love this movie and I highly recommend it to everyone who wants one of Michael Douglas' or Andy Garcia's shining moments.

  • this is a good trailer

  • Read the comments, it works, add this to your URL: /watch?v=EZE3r47VZqA

  • Nice Video!, I just found out how to Jailbreak 3.1.3 any Ipod Touch, read the comments if u dont believe me, just add this to your URL: /watch?v=EZE3r47VZqA

  • Contains the most intense decapitation scene since "The Omen". Probably Zimmer's first great score.

  • Ridley Scott is simply The Best!

  • Beautiful -- thanks!

  • very well put, this movie will always remain one of my favorites!

  • is this the nick and masa theme? wat is the name of and wer can i find this version? seriously coz its awesome!

  • This is in the Top 10 Best movies of Alltime!!!

  • Wahnsinn!!!!!

Einer der besten Filme die es gibt!!!

  • film is good, but my god, the music grabs u by the throat. totally outstanding. one of the best ever movie scores.

  • @smittysmith3578 it really is ... though I hate the part where Garcia dies :((

  • @smittysmith3578

I agree with you, but now Hans Zimmer looks not more so inspired, like in this Movie.

IMHO Only the Movie Face/Off with the movie scores composed from John Powell has the same intensity like Black Rain.

  • @smittysmith3578

No question. This flick deserved a lot more hype than is currently has.

  • 渋いわ~最高

  • I adore this film.

  • bad ass movie

  • Compositor , Hans Zimmer Paseando a Miss Daisy,"Llamaradas, Gladiator (El gladiador) El último samurái".

No se porque pero me recuerda un poco a uno de los OVAS de "Rurouni Kenshin. Y este Yusaku Matsuda, que joven murió.

  • one of the best movies ever

    Black Rain

    ALIEN

    Bladerunner

    THX @ Ridley Scott

  • @24moskito24

  • A great movie and an excellent score. Thank u 4 posting!

  • Great video! Thanks for sharing. I love the instrumental version of this song. I did read that Yasaku Matsuda died. What a terrible loss to the film industry. I also love the guy who played the Japanese cop Mas. This is truly a great film about friendship!

  • ladies of the eighties are looking at the shoes...I heard thats the second place theyre looking!!!

  • Here I Am Nick!

  • You watch yourself cowboy

  • This is a great movie, One of my favorites

  • TSUGOI!

  • great! a movie whith quality pictures soundtrak and the famous ruichy sakamato song ,including 4 characters

    high level i enjoy

  • I usually get kissed.......before i get fucked.

  • metal gear?!

  • @snoogans20

You have found the "musical fingerprint"(that is what I call it), as I did the last time I saw the film. It is the same composer who has made the score to MGS. he uses some of the same chords and instruments as in MGS.

  • great film

  • 松田優作が、ひたすら不気味、です・・・

  • You watch your tail cowboy

  • one of the best unknown nypd cop movies

  • the best!

  • 'Sometimes you have to go for it.' 'And I do speak fucking English.'

  • @SumnerMurrayRedstone

    Wicked one liners.

  • Yes and he told no one. He was on his way to Hollywood to make a movie with Sean Connery. He's a true hero.

  • i felt in love with this movie the first time i saw xD

  • @sensainahana

So did I when I first saw it.

  • Classic theme and film. Totally underated.

  • this movie never received the credit it deserved. One of my all time favorites!

  • @james6speed

    I totally agree with you

  • "Hey noodles!"

    "you gonna hurt yourself."

Second best movie line of all time second only to...

"Hey Utah! get me two." Gary Busey - point break \o/

  • It's so funny to hear you all complimenting that '80s "feel"!

  • Nice movie!

  • Yeah, although I was only like 6 y.o back then, I remember it was a phenomenon when this flick came out in Japan. Now, it's considered a legend.

Although this film is a little inaccurate about Japan, it is not offensive to Japanese (well, at least to me) at all. In fact, many of us think Japan portrayed in this film is more exotic and actually even cooler than the actuality.

    Ultimate badass film!

  • this movie iz one of the best i have seen with Michael Douglas.

  • Yeah, where are all the good times with all the good movies, action heroes and music... I guess to say 'back to the roots' is a bit harsh, nevertheless they could put a little more effort in trying to do such good movies again. The 80's and 90's were... the best ^^

  • Yeah there was a particular brand of action back then, that felt more real somehow. Now it's like fifty bajillion cameras on set focused on close ups of fists and eyes, back then it seemed more paced somehow, I dunno. Can't explain it.

  • @zoey323 Well . . . actually the '70s were the best. The '80s were good, but the '90s were already starting to suck.

  • 80's and 90's had the best buddy action flicks. So many great stars teamed up to make buddy movies. Now it seems there is usually only room for one star. Maybe I'm a goon but I miss the buddy action movies and watch them everytime they're on :)

  • YUSAKU MATSUDA - ( SATO ) -1949-1989--

  • Comment removed

  • The 80's, purely amazing, early 90's right behind, now day's everything has lost that "feel" everything has changed so much. Bring back the 80's and early 90's feel.

  • I agree

  • Life without choosing a side is worthless.

  • Wow!

  • The 80s, where did they go?

Not that I was alive during them, but still...just from the music and the movies, they sound friggin awesome.

  • I agree with the comments below..

they dont make movies like the ones from the 80's anymore.. I guess we are all from that generation.. eitherway its true..

but I guess people from the 50's or 30's say the somethings hahahha... but this movie really was pure 80's! and I want to go back to the 80s!!!!!

  • Why did the 80's and early 90's hit such a creative vein? Most of the famous and symbollic pictures are from those periods. Sadly good acting and context has been replaced by digital effects. Sad really.

  • Love this movie! Especially I thought the Japanese gangster was fantastically dangerous and evil. Great acting all round.

  • awesome!!! badass film with badass music.

  • Just Beautiful!

  • R.I.P Yusaku Matsuda !

  • Great post! Nicely edited!

  • Hollywood sucks. There are no movies like this today.

  • Amen to that.

    Agree

  • I don't know what people see in this high budget crap. No good script, younger and younger and definitely bad actors and tons of special effects. It's like collective brain-wash. "Hey, you want to be a retard, it doesn't cost much, just go to the movies!". Christ, what we have become?

  • They should make more movied like Black Rain and other great pictures from 80's and early 90's.

  • Beautiful movie en soundtrack.

Ridley Scott has made such good movies.

    Ridley Scott = Legend

  • this movie is full of good clues about many topics, the music, the action, the plot, the atmospheres...all is perfect! one of the best movies ever made, and absolutely the best of ridley scott's. no one ever painted so well the differences between the two cultures...just incredibly beautiful movie!

  • You got that right. They dont make movies like this today. Instead we get that animated crap with no story.

  • nowadays just the trailers make me want to keep away from cinemas. all those super-ripped super heroes in tights have abused the screens, and people like to go to the cinema to watch senseless bullcrap... i'm getting to think what my english litterature teacher used to stat: cinema is a conventional art!

where have the good times of point break, american beauty, back to the future and black rain gone?

    :(((

  • i haven't see good movies anything close to this for 10 yrs plus.

i miss those good great movies in late 80s

    early 90s

  • It's not among Ridley Scott's best, but it's still a solid action drama. The score alone is head and shoulders above most music in action movies nowadays - really emotional and memorable. Good music is always a big plus in my movie experience.

  • It doesn't seem very highly rated this movie, but i always liked it.

  • I think a lot of the reason this movie was not highly thought of was because it was closer to the action formula that guys like Stallone or Schwarzenneger had been using for most of the decade. If this movie came out 5 or 6 years earlier, I think people wouldve liked it a lot better. But people overlook that theres better acting in this movie than most of the 80s action movies.

  • great movie, one of my favorites!!!!

  • Sato was a great bad guy. RIP!

  • 凄い awesome east meets west style of song EPIC!

  • PELICULON

  • sounds abit like ehm metal gear solid 2 theme atleast some parts ^^

  • The look of this film reminds me of "Blade Runner".

  • Comment removed

  • same director, Ridley Scott

  • Wasn't Ridley Scott also involve with "Blade Runner"? I agree with you about the appearance. I read the novel and heard the soundrack before seeing this movie. It's a beautiful soundtrack.

  • Arrigato gosaimash...thank you very much for upload...awesome

  • where the soundtrack makes the diference: black rain and blade runner!!! today hollywood have no class. only quick cheap films to make cash. there are no place for film arts!

  • WONDERFUL!

  • where can I find this song? what´s the song called??

  • Comment removed

  • This is the "nick and Masa" theme on the

    "black rain original soundtrack" CD

I just LOVE this movie, it has a magic to it, taht is rarely seen anymore, a masterpiece!

  • love this flim, been to osaka many times. very sad about matsuda yusaku.

  • ''excellent''

  • matsuda yusaku is the best in black rain !!

  • Man...what a movie!! But Garcia shouldn't have died, he played such a great hole on it!!!

  • ahhh what a good memories brings me this movie, they don't make them like they use to, today!

  • very true. But watch The Sentinel with douglas and the great Kiefer Sutherland. That has like a theme of friendship. But the modern hi tech films are not as moving. Like the old Die hards ect. Die hard 4.0 is just not the same.

  • we, all die young or old you pick but we die, and to tell you the truth which is always a lie, Yusaku Matsuda lived in a better era in Black Rain than the fucking chaos that is now. I never knew the actor was going to die when i first seen it, but then again, who lives? You, me? Nahhh, atleast those guys made movies, I'd rather be fucking dead

  • Hi, it´s very awesome film, I was very sad when Andy Garcia died! very sad.

But it´s a great film with great actors.

    congratulations

  • great filmt here arent more actorz like these lol

    fantastic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • just learned about Yusaku Matsuda cancer, sad thing

  • Beautiful. Thanks for the upload.

  • waw black rain my fevert movie thx

  • Magnifico film.. visto ieri sera su Rete 4. Gran bella colonna sonora.

    Marco

  • I have just watched this movie yesterday and I must say that it is excellent. And what a beautiful soundtrack!!

  • So you should be italian of course ;) ; lo visto pure io xD .

    Great film.

  • I am actually Maltese. However, I understand Italian quite well.

  • Alias: Osaka Rain

I think that it is an excellent work with a wonderful image and music. Osaka in Japan is a stage. Atmosphere and the scene of Osaka are adequately expressed. It is possible to be amused missing it very much and it gets it.

    Thank you!!!

  • that scene of japan industry as they land i find the most impressive scene of the movie eventhough it's only 30sec long. and the music with those drums as the scene plays is just awesome. part of what makes this movie so great and highly underrated might i add it doesn't even get an 8/10 on IMDB i think that sucks big time.

  • Amazing

  • Black Rain is in my top 5 of all time...I love this movie! They just dont make them like this anymore
