  • Love u OX!!!!

  • this has got to be my favorite album by far

  • is there anything Pete Townshend CAN"T do ?..what the fuck man?? that was a cool half time drum beat on the original demo he pulled together..fucking brilliant !

  • I remember the power chords just grabbing me the very first time I heard this song 40 years ago, and I said this is going to elevate guitar playing to a whole new level. I think Pete Townsend's Guitar Playing has always been overlooked because his biggest talent is songwriting, but the understated Power Chords here just say so much more than any Eddie Van Halen finger tapped 100MPH stuff could ever do. In 100 years people will see that Pete's contributions were far more important overall.

  • No one really used a sequencer up to that point.

  • fuck petes a genious

  • Those clips of Pete were the coolest.

  • Love the Bass!

  • I think Bruce Springsteen listened to The Who! (at least intro-wise).

  • @johnnyjolijt

Because maybe Springsteen had copied one of those for one of his own? Just name it.

  • The opening intro of "Baba O'Riley" was performed on a 1968 Lowrey Berkshire TBO-1 organ.

  • I sure would like to find the WGFA demo played at the end of this clip...good stuff.

  • Pete is about as talented as it get's.

  • I see Townshend as a close to a Leonarndo Da Vinci figure as we will see in our lifetime...

  • Pete Towneshend is an AMAZING genius

  • you got that right.
