Second favorite would probably be pop or rap, because I mean rap is good, and it seriously kick's Dubstep's ass because Dubstep is seriously annoying, IMO, but other than that rap is good when it's underground or actually people that can rap like 2pac, but when you bring Lil Wayne in you can count me out! When it comes down to content in rap music, a huge distinction is drawn between underground and commercial rap. Underground artist putting out some of the most lyrically complex, emotional and political music out there. Not to sound like an a-hole but all that bubblegum mainstream shit is what gives real artist a bad name.
I dont want to contradict my previous statement but if I has to choose.. Rock is a little better...Rock takes a bit more musical talent. And deals more with meaningful, important and more complex subject matters, like life, politics, philosophy, history etc.. And its also Global, theres bands(who are successful) from all over the world. U.S., Europe, South America, Asia, etc.. can you name one rapper thats not from the U.S or North America that is successful? So Rock is better, just my opinion.

Look, no one will ever win this battle. Both genres are legitimate genres of music an both art forms require talent to be performed at their best. Look, no one will ever win this battle. Both genres are legitimate genres of music an both art forms require talent to be performed at their best. White rappers:
Eminem, Asher Roth, Apathy, RA, Slug, Celph Titled, paul Wall, and a thousand more i dont feel like mentioning. And hardcore didnt come from metal in any way. It came from gangsta rap and evolved to other subjects.
and you cant generalize rap. Sure otday all this fake rap on BET matches all your claims, but real rappers have no respect for these fags.

i was born a rocker, but i respect hiphop, i like the old school stuff like pac and biggy, the new stuff kinda pisses me off though, i dont like the famouse r and b stars like usher. and little wayne pises me off and eveyone in that genre cuz all they sing about is cars and drugs, and money, baack in the day they would sing about how they were poorand tryig to make it, i belive like good rock, you have to go underground to find it

@BSUOSUlover dude on metal massacre the demo album where first recorded their very first track- fyi the song was 'hit the lights' n yea the guy who played lead guitar was not dave mustaine- it was lloyd grant n he was black

@pinksmithfloyd No i know he was on the early recording, I am just saying that I believe the only thing he wrote for Metallica was the solo for Hit the Lights. Considering the rest of the song was written by James Hetfield with his other band Leather Charm.
