Actualy the extra long links make them less effective, because your force 1 has to travel down a longer distance, so when you swing by time it hits youv lost more power than nessasary, also in previouse post they will rebound with that long length, he would be better off with the short 2-3 link chucks

A weapon must never be out of control to be considered the best. Once the target is hit the nunchaku rebounds and the user has no control. The Katana is the ultimate weapon.

Corretion they are only out of control when you have a long, in the case rediculusly long chain. Stick if you use 2-3 links the chucks are quiet controlable. This stuff though would be as you said useless chain is far to long for "practical" combat and yes i know this is more for show, but still.
