actually, in the original nosferatu mythos, staking the vampire corpse only pins it down so it can't fight or escape. Rituals for actually destroying the vampire vary between different variations of the vampire, but staking the vampire definitely did not permanently kill it. That misconception about the vampire mythos must have been the result of Hollywood oversimplifying the vampire mythos.

I think Ad Avis is immortal because Katrina bit him and enslaved him - but can die from anything other than age and illness. So fifty years of being Katrina's servant, then he went off on his Iblis jaunt, and the hero murdered him.

I think there's a patch for QFG5 which lets you marry Katrina. I've never played the game, but Resulka isn't the only one who I've heard has been able to do so.
