Dude, avoid those problems with Amazon.com and ask for the package to be bubble wrapped. Always!. IT really helps. You can also sent a complain to Festool so they can address the issue to Amazon.com for better service.
I am a proud owner of the TS75 and MFT3 and now use it as a replacement to my older bosch GCM12SD which had quite a few problems when cutting perfect 90* angles. I visited a local trade show and purchased the system including the 1.4m rail, MFT3 and other kit and since, it's been a life saver.
Here in the UK, the TS 75 ships with a 1.4m rail. Bearing in mind the cost of the rail alone, you're getting a very good bargain. The guide rails are expensive and for a reason. the design greatly differs from that of makita and dewalt, is lighter and more adaptable. especially where the use of the kickback stop is concerned. a very vital addition. What you have here is a replacement to a table saw. I would highly recommend you get the MFT3 system to turn your TS into a production saw.
