To both posts below mine I say, I fully understand your comments, but judging from the depth of this song I think it was a bad decision to perform it in such a setting. This song is the type of song Bilal should perform at an event such as an Award show when all eyes and attention is on him. I know most of the ppl in attendance here didn't understand the value of this song, and I also understand Bilal was promoting it as his single, but if I was his manager I would've suggested something else.
Scenes like this make me not want to attend or perform concerts.Seriously is the new chic to go to concerts and act like the artist is a part of YOUR background? NO conversation was worth not only disrespecting him or the band, let alone other people who could have been there to enjoy the music. Whether you paid admission or not this just shows how little we value the performer, and how low our attention span has lowered. Thank you Bilal for the effort, keep making inspiring music.
I feel like crying, listening to this. I know people need to have a good time, but it's like Marvin Gaye is singing and people have their backs turned, eating chicken...or JFK is speaking on what is right for America, & people are playing Uno drinking & talking. How do you ignore such a master?? He starts to get them at 1:29 and again at 1:47 and again finally at 2:01 for a bit. He deserves so much respect. He's one of our greatest. Love you, Bilal. Keep singing the peoples' songs.
