  • nina simone is pretty hard to follow....but you have done suxh an amazing job!!!! well done

  • Wow! Extracting the maximum out of a minimalist setup. The arrangement is both barren and gut wrenching full at the same time. Matches her singing style so well.

  • My ex-girlfriend looked just like Feist. However, I didn't dare tell her that was the only reason I dated her.

  • This just kicks way too much ass. It's a crime this concert hasn't been released as a live album.

  • it's like neil young and joni mitchell had a baby...

  • @wockajames and Patti Smith - she even looks like her

    Sister can ROCK!

  • jes i would marry her

  • She is so sexy!

  • thumbs up if you like Feist - When I Was A Young Girl (Paris)

  • Wat een heerlijk stoertje is deze engel met haar grote gitaar en waanzinnige stemgeluid. Tijd, dat ze naar Nederland komt. Greatzzzz

  • FUCK I LOVE HER

  • @steuding how so?

  • ALL YA ALL, SHUT THE FUCK UP & LISTEN TO THE FUCKING TUNE... & have a nice fucking day. ( ;

  • so beautiful artist !!

  • beutiful, talented, clumsy, amazing, breathtaking, a Godess!

  • She's the definition of a delightful talent

  • Great performance of this song. Love it!

  • Feist is amazing, Like no other. The Band really Rocks too. Feist makes me SO Proud to say I AM CANADIAN ! Feist Can not be compared to anyone else.. I have not ever come across anyone with the Voice that Leslie Has she truley is a gifted.

  • @zzzippo55 Grow a brain, fucker.

  • @zzzippo55 I'd like to hear you play the guitar

  • @CuzCuz85 zzzippo55 may not be able to play guitar but you must admit it takes talent to use a keyboard with a cock in each hand! Probably a meistro on the skin-flute too! ;)

  • This is the REAL Feist!!

  • This is a real musician!

  • check out: Rudo , song Love Lights

  • This video was just added to a music playlist at JustPlay.fm

  • This is such a great video series, but I think I'm falling in love.. and it scares me.

  • damn she can sing!

  • I would pay alot of money to tap that ass

  • Lord, this is so attractive.

  • WOULD LOVE TO HANG OUT WITH HER.

  • @bubtw9 and then eventually have sex with her

  • Ahora, por qué pienso en Kill Bill con esta canción?

  • is there a recording of this available to download anywhere? searched iTunes already.

  • but wait does this mean that your voice can be an instrument and not just a tool for spitting out mindless words?

  • @maimags That does appear to be the case after all!

  • In Kurunegala NOW benaughtyman.info

  • what a cool vibe...

  • she is very talented without doubts!!

why she is not so wide popular as norah jones...or avril....

  • Desearia ser parte de su banda algun día, o al menos tener el gusto de verla en vivo, yeah.

  • widać jak wypada jej kostka.;]

  • am i the only one that doesnt know what the fuck she's saying most of the time?

  • Aw, it's a cover of that classic song, Que Sera Sera (title I found elsewhere), I love it when I hear this song. Though, it is so much more sad when it was played on Dead Like Me....

  • @ianflowforever - original song by nina simone - "when i was a young girl"

  • @ianflowforever - original song by nina simone - "when i was a young girl"

  • Wow, had no idea she was such a beastly guitar player. She finished that song out by herself.

  • Love her, but how come I can't find the song "Everything" from her album "Reminder"?? I Need to hear that one right now!;) /White Dove...

  • i like the sound of the instruments in this cover, but i think she went a little overboard with the trying to look indie thing.

  • @avirazzy she is indie...

  • must say i enjoy this cover more then the original

  • This is a tune! And I would seriously consider marriage with her! Haha :)

I have some chilled out acoustic tracks that I hope will raise a few smiles - if you have a spare second I'd love to meet you. Thanks.

  • Love it!! Just great, and if you like this, you have to listen to Sophie Hunger...

  • without a shadow of a doubt the sexiest singer around today. even simple things like the red nails at 5:18 are just unreal. nothing out of the ordinary to have red nails, but you see hers and say "wow... she's stunning"

  • Just Feist can feel the music like THIS!.

  • WHEN I WAS

  • @NakedCreep

    A FAGGOT.

  • wonderful!

  • Ali zaista je odlicna...

    Jedinstvena u svakom pogledu!

  • The guitar is amazing on this song

  • EXT. FROM MY PREVIOUS COMMENT BELLOW.:sometimes when i musician plays a certain song often. theyll slightly modify it so they can maintain a certain passion and zeal while performing it. she switched the two verses, but when she came in for the second, it fcked her up.

  • she fucked up the lyrics, vs 2. the song went downhill from there. it was a bareable performance after the fuck up. But had she not messed up the words, the performance would have been better for us, because she wouldnt have been so tripped up in her own concious about her mistake. which she was. she knew she fcked up.

  • WHEN I WAS

  • omg feist is the best !!

  • lol cuz you, mrandyipod, who sounds like an immature adolescent boy who spends his time hating on music you don't like, is qualified to judge Feist as "gay", "fuckin weird", and a "no life".

at least get a life and go check out south park videos or smthng you like

or read the dictionary and improve your vocabulary

  • @21piecesofBlue That totally needed to be said. You said it well too!!

  • @mrandyipod Get a life...

  • this version kicks my ass.

  • I love this (and all the Paris session), but her voice is very suggestive at 4:25

  • Her stage presence is incredible. And her music, ofc.

  • texas gladden is better, don't get me wrong I like feist but well whatever.... ijs

  • "My poor head is aching

    My sad heart is breaking."

Those are the only lyrics in the song that are the same as St. James Hospital. And Doc Watson wasn't the first nor the last to have thought of those words. And the melody isn't the same, at least not to what I can tell, but my hearing may be off.

If it is the same, maybe she credited him in the album.

  • Not credited to him but she doesn't need to. The liner notes refer to it as a traditional song in the public domain and references the original artist, Texas Gladden. I jumped the gun without even reading something I had handy. My apologies.

  • @drovethroughghosts This is actually a cover from a Nina Simone's song.

  • anyone know where I can find the DVD of this entire performance?

  • @jk0745 I would also find this performance on DVD.If somebody knows where we can find it,tell us please! :O

  • so sick.

  • awesome song

  • I love Bryden Baird.

  • does anyoen mind telling me wat this sogn is about? i abslutely love the sogn but i hv a hard time understanding the meaning of it

  • I'm pretty sure its about living a wild young life and ending in misery. Check out the Nina Simone version to get a better "feel" for the song. Hope this helps ;)

  • i hope one day i will marry a girl like feist. yes. and i would kill for her.

  • sudfac get your facts complete NINA SIMONE sang this in NYC: Recording live session 1963 May 12, New York, Carnegie Hall -- (LPs At Carnegie Hall and Folksy Nina)

    An honorable remake however.

  • Gorgeous,enchanting song.

It just makes me want to get up and swivel around like a fool.

  • It's so funny to see Feist rock out. I love it.

  • Wow , the song is amazing . The first time i've ever really heard any other feist songs . Was just on here showing my kids the sesame street song with feist and accidentally clicked on a related link . Will defiantly listen to more of her stuff

  • This needs to be a DVD!!!

  • I've been searching everywhere. Even torrents. No one has one.

  • just dwnload the video off youtube its all we can get

  • Yeah. That's what I was thinking of doing. I, mainly, want to be able to watch it off of the computer, though.

  • If you like it BUY it.

    iTunes.

  • i`m amazed, so impressive!!!!!

  • Hi! Shirley Collins & Davy Graham sang this song in 1964 at the "Folk Roots, New Routes" . The old name of this song was "Bad girl" from the singing of the Texas Gladden.

    Alex, Kaliningrad, Russia.

  • Ms. Feist is her own thing. I love Morissette, too-- but Feist is just a whole other genre. :)

  • LONG LIVE FEIST!

  • Talent to burn. A whole different musical imagination than Morissette and Lavigne - startlingly original. Enormously gifted, with musical surprises at every turn. She has a l-o-n-g career ahead of her.

  • Wow, she is an amazing singer and guitar player! Why has Canada been ignoring this talent for so long and wasting attention on Avril?

  • THIS is an excellent question.

  • @ PrairieFire8

    i agree.

    and im canadian.

  • believe me, some of us have been praying for avril to be gone

  • @Dalewoodian

    Amen.

  • @Dalewoodian bahahahhahaaaa hilarious and uplifting lol :P hahahaa great..

  • i think it's the States who love Avril, so we see more of her on their media, and more readily accept her....but with Feist we just KNOW she's special, and don't need outside approval. I think it's sad we're like junior high kids only admittedly celebrating things when we get outside approval from either the Europeans or the States...generally, not as a rule, of course.

  • your an idiot...13 year old girls listen to Avril- not people from the states.

  • @PrairieFire8 Because, for some strange reason... we cater to kiddie masses.

  • she reminds me of morissette, but better.

  • i heard this version becfore i heard the original and i can say i LOVE this version way more. her live performances give a new raw energy to all of her songs. she's truly one of a kind. i love feist.

  • oh this is awesome! this is the first time ive heard this song and i love it! she looks great on stage!

  • They should release this as an album. I love the rendition of "Sealion Woman". Much better than the studio version

  • uuuuuuuuuuuuuuhhhh increible

  • this is one of the best performances ive ever seen. she looks so awesome straddling that guitar.

  • this version is great!!! that's somethin so cool about her... she makes her songs never sound twice the same

  • She rocks...does anyone know when he next tour will be???

  • i like this song

  • feist..pj harvey and cat power...love them all

  • i can't argue with logic like that, pm9cubed, and three great live shows to boot, though in wholly distinct ways; simply (and respectively) put, polished nuance, unbridled passion and understated crazy...but the good kind of crazy.

  • @pickme999 Me too, Feist is for happy moments and Cat for relax.

  • @pickme999 Me too, there s room for all of them, especially the ones that sock it to the boys, I'm a big P J fan and although this is like her, Feist still sounds distinctive and different in her way. I love girls who rock, Grace Slick, Sandy Denny, Blondie, Patty Smith the list thankfully goes on.

  • This is a cover of Nina Simone right???

  • I think that Feist is the best current female artist anywhere in the world, any genre, and she will be my favorite for a long time! I won't ever forget seeing her in concert and meeting her afterwards and getting a hug! Forever love for Feist!

  • totally agree

  • absolutely

  • wow!

  • feist and pj harvey.... two amazing women!

  • that was amazing.

  • wow...better than any other modern female performer that's out there now a days. music is real. talent is real. no fake bullshit. i'm buying her cd tomorrow.

  • again, this is woman is amazing.

  • What an awesome song.loveeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee it:)

  • This is a cool song! I enjoyed it so much.

  • hot woman!

  • Ganz nette Version.

Muss unbedingt wieder Julie Driscoll(schon lange Tippetts) hören!

  • This is one of her best performances, the song sounds even better than the album's version. And i really really like when she plays guitar <3

  • id faint if i met her.

  • Bryden Baird is awesome!

  • yeah, can't disagree with that

  • those bells really make me pee

    also

    awesome song

  • Odd...

  • Genial el cover de nina simoneeeee

    buenaaaa

  • Her VOICE. <3

  • WHEN I WAS

  • I think the way she handles her guitar in the end of the song is kinda sexy... :D

  • Oh trust me, you're not the only one. It is sexy. She's sexy in general.

  • She's sexy in a subtle way

    and yes,it definitely is

    She's also my girl-crush :)

  • One of my favorites of her songs. Very cool to hear it live.

  • 1:17 just love that <3FEIST!!!! "down into the jail house"
