It's not the Trans Siberian railway if this video filmed in Ulaanbaatar. Trans-Mongolian railway doesn't belong to Transsib, which is fully situated in Russia and its routes from Moscow to Vladivostok, not Beijing. Trans-Mongolian railway has similar locos and cars, it is also has similar gauge, but there is one difference: Transsib is fully electrified, Trans-Mongolian railway is not.
This Transs-Siberian , had the same cars(wagons) just like the international train Mockba ( Moskwa)- Bucharest (Romanian) - Coonr( Sofia / Bulgaria) !
the tracks are a lot wider in russia. the locomotives are a lot bigger. the trains are a lot longer, the country is big. everything is big in russia. i wish i could do the transiberian too. anyway...how much did the tickets cost?
Yep the cabins have locks from the inside only. We started from Moscow, went through Mongolia and ended up in Beijing. Food was cheap and cheerful, especially the vodka and champagne!

thats awesome.. is it sketchy on those trains are there a lot of thieves and what not?

It's not too bad. We did have some money stolen but we were careless. Just make sure you have a money belt and there's always someone in the cabin.

About two and a half weeks if I remember correctly. We had stops along the way so it wasn't all on the train.
