Check out spic sk8boardz skateboarding pools in colorado on youtube a wanna-b dogtown Tony Salba pool nazi sk8 video by asianadolf. I knew this chick named "hudson" and she used 2 date/hump T.A. she told me when they were living 2gether T.A. drunkenly called Tony Salva late @ nite and said sum bullshit like, "I've been sk8n poolz since u were in diaperz." Who carez T.A. even though u r a sk8 god u haven't progressed since the dogtown dayz. If u can't roll in2 poolz like Salba can shut up!
the new generation is so much more technical and advanced to the tricks and styles now being done in modern day skateboarding. i got bored in this video. but still..if it wasnt for the early pioneers, where would we be?
That double hit carve was AWESOME. That's not easy in such a tight pool. He hits a pool like a running back charges the line. He cuts like Walter Payton! Such power!
peiple dont understand what pool skating is they think its simple to carve around some stairs and the frontside to fakie then ride to the other side and rock walk
80´s...good times! Times of Christian Hosoi and Natas Kaupas, my 2 favourites American skaters in that time. Too, In that time, here in Brazil we had god skaters, like Rui Muleque, beto or die (my favourite brazilian deck- by lifestyle), fernandinho batman, Cupim, Mureta, Alexandre Ribeiro, Sérgio negrão,tron and others. Too, I remember that I had a deck of rob roskop (my favourite), trucks tracker (I dreamed of having a Gullwing) and santa cruz's wheels. (U.S. products were expensive)
It's natural that the Americans elect an American, and of course, that a Brazilian say "Bob!". I remember the Rodney Mullen, in the 80s, as the king of the freestyle mode and Tony Hawk in vertical. But, to elect the best of all, I think we have to see who was the best overall (freestyle, street, vert ramp and mega). Mullen is the king on the ground and I think in vert, is Bob. Perhaps, by the history of the skateboard, Tony Hawk is the best in general?...(Or, who knows...Hosoi?)
80's... In that time, here in Brazil, we only watching on tv, Hosoi and Hawk disputing the hegemony of the global skateboarding, and dreaming to see, in a day, a Brazilian skater in this place. The time has passed and the dream became a reality ... Bob Burnquist, Sandro Dias, Alex Carolino, Lincon Ueda, among many others at the top of the world skating! What a pride! (we can not forget about the older Brazilians skaters that are
South America's skateboarding capital) and in the 80's I saw the fight between Cristian Hosoi and Tony Hawk for the world hegemony. In that time, sure, we only dreamed, but oday, I'm very proud to know that Bob Burnquist is the 'Pelé'(the King) of the skateboarding, like the Brazilian skateboarding is on the top of the world. (unfortuneately it still not happened with the Brazilian surfboarding). PS- Sorry 4 my bad english.
after watching his vid chlorine i just had to go skate a pool and i tell ya, its hard stuff...being a street skater my whole life iv now seen the light.
Sick! I saw Salba on some cable show in the late 80's (at Upland I think) and he was talking about the pair of trucks he'd just axled. He held them up to the camera and it blew my mind! Many slappies later I had my own...

The Kings...
soccer = Pelé, basketball = Michael
Jordan, tenis = Roger Federer,
surfboarding = kelly Slater,
skateboarding = Tony Hawk or Bob
Burnquist? (For me, is Bob. And for you?
Who is the king?)
