so basically this is a useless video and a waste of time because by the time you've been out and bought a hd-dvd drive and installed it then buy a hd-dvd, ripped it then converted it copied it then play it you could just buy it on blu ray or download it! both of which will cost a lot less than doing this.
@SaucyBegger25 I bought a blu-ray/hd-dvd combo drive when companies were trying to get rid of them for only $99 (two years ago, a blu ray disc drive is around $70 now). You can buy HD-DVD movies for 3 bucks new including shipping on Amazon, and then rip it it to MKV or MP4 for better compatibility and archiving for when my disc drive eventually dies.
So for some people yes there's no point but for others it's a great way to get cheap HD movies on your PS3.
And now TF is on Blu Ray! Hoorah! :) I was sad when I first heard TF was only going to be on HDDVD, and so I was very happy to see it lose the war. :) Now I just have to save up some money and buy it! XD
im a dowloader, i just download random movies but wen i do there like the soze of an ipod nano, then wen u scale emm on ps3 all the detail disapeares, i only rip wen i already have the movie and dont need 2 dowload
ha, you call yourself a "Downloader", but yet you don't have format changing software, change the format from IPOD videos to PSP videos, you need to know a little more man, and your probably getting dvd rips not HD-DVD rips/Blu-ray rips they take 4-10gb while dvd is around 1-3gb downloads :), learn more and they say things suck...
yeah i don't have a ps3, but im just trying to figure it out i have a psp i can experiment with, and i have pc, btw im downloading shit as we speak :)
Start the video , bring up the menu and make your own with the change icon option. It takes the next 15 seconds of video for the icon from the point of selecting the option.
How do you transfer such big files doesn't your external need to be fat format and can only transfer up to 4GB with fat format. Or are you using Red Kawa File Server. Trying to figure this out.
looks terrible quility. Does my head inn how some film companys are choosing hd-dvd over blu-ray. Especially how transformers isnt available on blu-ray. Blu-ray is obviousley the better format! Urgh! Does anyone know if transformers is going to be released on blu-ray later?
you have to be one of the dumbest persons alive lmfao first of all bluray and hddvd have the exsact same quality when it comes to video they use the exsact same compression second of all transformers is never going to be on bluray because the studio that made it signed a exclusive deal with hddvd soo there you have it do your research
You see thats where your wrong. Blu ray has a larger disc capacity, meaning more information on the disc. It also uses a more concentrated laser, i dont know how that works but basically it means a better picture.
And, transformers apparently is coming out on blur-ray some time this year due to a short contract with the HD-DVD company.
Using the extra capacity is more likely to happen in 5 years and by that time hd dvd will figure something out. HD dvd players cost less money so as a consumer HD is better and since they both have the same picture quality. Also forgot to say my favorite studios back up Hd dvd which are Paramount/dreamworks and Universal. What made blu ray so popular is the PS3, but once a system uses Hd dvd then the edge will go to HD DVD. This is going to be a long rivalry.
chosenfew18610 - HD-DVD officialy died, Toshiba dropped it :) Blu ray is the official format now. Theres nothing to figure out, everything is coming blu. Short rivalry :)
so you wanna bet on this like you probably did think HD-DVD was gonna win right. You sound like a Toshiba Fan Loser. This war happen befor and every thing went to the winning format Silly Rabbit ** ** ** kids.

dude how do u add the little previews on the videos?
jonathanvillela 3 years ago
the previews appear by themselves. but you have to copy the movie onto the PS3, you will not see previews if the movie is on external HDD.

ha i found another way to put movie files on ps3
and also its AVI not MP4 so its not the size of an ipod or psp screen so theres no distortion.
wen my downloaded AVI file is finished wen i put it on ps3 its perfect DVD quality and screen size

Where the heck you download load HD DVD movie? How long did you take you to download something like ?
albert2090 4 years ago
It took about 10 hours to me but the encoding's a bitch, taking a full 30 hours to me.
keesvdijkh 3 years ago
How did you upload the movie to PS3?
albert2090 3 years ago
I think Transformers is too big for a DVD but you can use an external hard drive or your iPod if it's 16 GB+. Connect it to your PS3.
keesvdijkh 3 years ago
I just want to know how you are getting the full motion previews to play for the movies on your hdd?

so can i buy the hd dvd one and it will still work fine?
bigc072004 4 years ago
You can technically if you have a computer with an HD-DVD drive, and just ripped the movie and converted to MP4 format (mpeg-4)....
or you can just download the rip already converted to mp4, and put that on your PS3's hard drive.
