im a hugo player, and for some reason im unable to perform that chain combo where he throws his opponent to the wall, do that devastating hand clap to his aerial attack. i saw another player do it, everytime i try, his air attack wont grab.
none the less, hugo is a powerhouse with great defense. His Gigas Breaker is just too fucking brutal, also.....does parrying before performing the gigas breaker successfully increase the damage given? because it sometimes looks like it does.
That combo where you throw your opponent to the wall, clap and do the aerial grab? Yeah, that NEEDS to be done in the corner, otherwise it won't work. You need to be at the edge of the screen to pull it off.
And no, parrying does not increase the damage of his super. It always does a set amount of damage, this isn't SF4 after all.
Crazy parrying! It's almost if the whole match was programmed. You'll will have to be extremly good to parry all those kicks at once from Chun Li. Trying to do 360 degrees rotating the joy stick for Hugo moves is not easy either. Unless your doing it as you land.
no it isn't, ken ryu and akuma only have to parry 7 times per set because they're pushed back by each parry slightly. all other characters stay in place and have to parry 8 times per set, plus the ender.
I don't understand why people take 720 Gigas for super when using this super means you only have one bar and can't pressure with EX. Hugo is much stronger when he is close and c.lp,c.lp super is really much better I think, it's just less a flashy style!
well if you can play like hayao you don't miss it since he's so ludicrously successful with the gigas. i see your point, but hugo does build his bar very quickly, so doing a ex clap only requires say a 360 and mp (or something roughly)to make it back up, so it's not a major deal.
and ye the flashy style is desirable though. as someone who's been playing 3s for 3 weeks i've found nothing is more awesome feeling than a gigas :p
