they are all about energy - running, sniffing - where are we going what's going on? I am, now fostercaring senior weims - and sometimes Im astounded by the current fellow's energy - and wonder what he was like as a puppy - truly wild energy. Yeager only got dogfood birthday cakes - and also onions and tomatoes are dangerous for dogs - thanks for comment.
Weim's are the best. I had one growing up and now having a second one My heart hurt when I lost my first one...they are the best, most loving dogs ever!!
@oganville they sure are - they are truuly like humans - those eyes are so penetrating and they almost seem frustrated at times in their attempts to communicate - thanks for writing
Thank you very much. It may sound trite, but all I ever really did was copy him - meaning he was so attentive the instant we met and I just tried to match that.
What a beautiful tribute to your beloved baby! I am sobbing like a baby after having watched this touching video. I have a Weimaraner that will be turning 15 on Sept. 1,God willing. I see so much of Rhena in Yaeger! She constantly begs for food, can barely get up on the couch anymore, has booties for the hot pavement and her hind legs give out on her frequently! She is so resilient and has such a strong will to live though!Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful life with your best friend!
I am so so sorry for your loss. My best wishes to you and a very sincere thank you for making this video. I've had my weim for 7 years now and I feel like you. The unconditional love they give is the best. And they are the best dogs ever.
@gygls73 Sorry for such a delayed response. While I really do love all dogs and think of them all as poor old Yeager's cousins - I do think there is something unbelievably human about Weimaraners. Enjoy every single hour of every single day with your's - I did with mine. It helps mitigate some of the grief, remembering our life together, embedding him into my mind, heart and soul.
Beautiful tribute to a beautiful and well loved dog. How lucky for him to have you to care for him and give him a good life and a graceful exit when his time came. I wish they had longer with us.
@bdonaghey1 Forgive my delayed response. Really - how lucky I was to be able to care for him. I would do it all again - I would do it forever. He was so damned good and sweet and gentle.
What a beautiful tribute to an incredible dog. Yeager was much loved by everyone in his world and obviously gave back much love. I give you full credit for giving him the best life a dog could have. He will live on in that special place in your heart that he burrowed into. Thank you for sharing Yeager with the world.
@dulgerom1953 Thank you very much - and sorry for the delayed response. Thank you for saying what you did. I don't think that anyone who was with him would have done otherwise. This dog changed me as a person, fundamentally - and permanently.
Incredibly thoughtful of you to watch this and to leave your response so soon after I posted it. And I am sorry for your loss - greatly but have great respect for you. It takes a certain degree of patience in retrospect for those who adopt senior dogs and then for you to have lost him in two years has got to be a real challenge. When I remind myself that millions of compassionate people who fell deeply in love with their dogs (or cats) endure the same loss, I feel less alone.
There is no breed like the Weim. Ony after you have one you can understand what I am saying

Nice tribute, great dogs, got one too, mine seems a little more energetic can run all day :D
But I must inform people I hope that birthday cakes at 2:28 didn't contain any raisins or chocolate as they're poison for a dog

So sorry for your loss. I adopted a nine-year-old in 2008 and had to put him down last December. Meister looks like he was a great dog.
