Yeah me and my dad tried to get the finesse, but they discontinued it right when we decided to get it. The clerk (i guess) said that they were getting a new phone in, and said it was "gonna be badass". So I waited, and got the caliber the day it came out.

I'd like to point something out for people who keep saying that it's expensive because of "NO CONTRACT": Finesse = $375 [w/ tax] ~ The Palm Pre on Sprint = $200 [you'll get back 100] + $200 [to terminate contract early] = $400 so at first Metro only saves you $25 [supposing you didn't get $100 back from Sprint] ~ I prefer to pay a little more for 3G speeds & a phone that works anywhere in the U.S. - but it comes down to personal choice.

rofl, Metro Pcs, 4G? They don't even have 3G right now. The first wireless company to deploy 4G (LTE) service is Sprint, in the latter part of 2009. and I do agree with CRAK, kudos for you. :)

this phone looks really good you guys have to remember tat it costs more because you don't have a contract. when u have a contract ur paying for the full price of the phone in the first 5 months. metro is going on a 4g network in 2010 and will be covering alot more places. this phone is worth getting to know, obviously the iphone kicks its ass but stil, it's metro.

I just havent seen this phone do anything that my 80 dollar samsung (metropcs) phone cant do. This phone just looks like a waste of money to me. I would get the iphone any day over this phone. Actuall the phone has a lot of applications already downloaded into it. It comes with a 16GB micro SD memory card with the mission impossible movie on it. and a variely of interfaces that your so called $80 phone cant do. can you draw on your current phone? i think not. but you can on this phone as well as many other things. so its not a waste of money. plus no contract required.

ok with metro you pay more for the phone because of no contract....thats how metro make their money since their plans are so low but lets say if at&t had this phone and offering it 4 $50, but your committing yourself to a lets say $90+ contract(an unlimited plan) thats why the phone is so cheap because they get their money from the contracts so when your contract is up, u just gave at&t over $1500(just an example) so they can afford to give the fones away for a much lower price 4 phones... but..

video player plays 3g's (NOTE: not 3gp) and mp4 formats.

it holds 200 text messages both inbox and outbox.

browser has saving option to save mp3's, and images from web.

The Internet connection on this phone is pushed through the AWS frequency range. It is slower then EV-DO rev 0 and rev A. I think it may pull down, real world, about 100 KBPS if your next to the tower.  EV-DO phones usually get about 3 times that, real world.
