Most badass party I've played must be:

Hawk (Nightblade)

Lise (Starlancer)

Kevin (God Hand)

Two guys with dual attacks. FST + Aura Wave (boost Power on Hawk before executing FST, and you'll clean up the screen guaranteed), and MTSU's, as well as SD's for bosses. Sabers are redundant, imho, except for a few bosses and you can get Sabers for those encounters in Byzel. Otherwise, if you want true direct power and Sabers, you can exchange Hawk for Duran (Duelist), although you'll lose the SD's.

my team for this game was duran(swordmaster), Lise( starlancer), and Kevin(warrior monk). had a little of everything: heals, stat boosting, and elemental sabers. this boss was easy for me though i always like to power level through games and be beyond the recommended level for bosses just for the sake of making them my bitches.Zable Fahr i was at level 44

What gets me about this boss is that unlike the other god beasts which are only a bit odd Zable Fahr is truly bizarre. Does it even have a body besides those 3 heads? Is it really just 3 eerie faces that rampaged through the world? Also did it remake it's own Mana Stone? They say the stone broke and it started attacking the world before vanishing, but you find it's mana stone (briefly) intact. Did it get bored of slaughter and seal itself away? What a weird monster.

What I do when I play Seiken Densetsu 3 is play go through all the possible combinations of characters and classes and choose which one I think is the best.

^^ this has got to be one of my fave bost battles in the game,along with Dolan(he's just so cool).the mood is perfect,dark place and music and a creepy boss.....nice :) but so easy to beat with the right setup.holy spell spam(i played this on the emulator) makes him piece of cake

I wish someone told ME to class change BEFORE fighting this boss!! Geez!! I fought it with a level 33 party, everyone deals 1 damage WITH drake scale! I had to rely on saint beam with Sahagin's scales for around 530dmg a shot.

I take my Angela Arch-sage, since she gets a better spell IMO, Rainbow Dust can help against the god-beasts, if you're lookin for power, then Kevin, Angela & Lise are your type..

your party choice isnt really to my taste... however its not my place to argue because that is the party im using for my next playthrough... ive already beaten all three stories like 20 times each, so im just tryin out all the party combos 2 c which one could get me the fastest time... my fav so far would have to be riesz as vanadies, carlie as dark shaman and hawk as ninja master

That is a good "all-out attack" party you have here. I also like using Riesz (stat boosting), Duran (Magic Swords) and Kevin of course (werewolf incredible power) when I play Seiken 3.

The fact that you not use Heal Light is quite interesting, actually( this game has so many ways to be played through...)

Heheh yeah thought i'd try and challenge myself a bit by not getting Heal Light... but on retrospect it's actually easier this way than with a support-focused or mixed party.

One of my best parties has got Riesz/Star Lancer (multi stat boosting), Hawkeye/Nightblade (stat down on bosses) and Charlotte/Bishop (heal light/swords). I just realized however that I barely use heal light, so an even better party would be replacing Charlotte with Duran/Sword Master I think. With the enemy stat down/party stat up you hardly take any damage at all, and in the waiting time between the spells cast by enemies the moon (or even leaf) saber could get you up to date again. Thoughts?

Also remember that Carlie learns a spell that applies all stat downs on one target in one of her dark classes...

So i could only heal with items.

Having Duran OR Lise (not both in same party) with the mage and cleric can still make the game very challanging. Hawk + mage & cleric depending on what classes they go can still be very challanging.

Kevin + Hawk = you have no balls, simple.

Everybody has the right to use the party they think it is the best for their liking, thus the game allows you tho choose your companions, I used Duram Liese and Angela and I beat the game easily too. People saying a certain team is the best are just retards.

No, there IS a melee imbalance in the game - it's not a matter of opinion, it's game mechanics. Just like in Secret of Mana there's an opposite imbalance with magic and physical is pretty weak (OR the way its suppose to be).

Zable-Fahr... this Boss was fear and evil incarnate... the kind of evil that your worst nighmare would run away from... in terror. Truth be told, I was terrified when I first fought him. I was even more terrified when I seen the real Zable-Fahr...

I did not have the patience Mega-Level up, and I up ended beating Zable-Fahr at Lv 32.

The Hardest fight I ever faced however, was beating the Arch-Demon with Hawkeye, Dulan and Kevin... in their second class... at LV 46...

The story goes that the Mana Prism of Darkness or whatever was stolen by the Priest of Darkness. Because of this theft, the Mana fairy that accompanies you does not know the location until you have battled all of the other God-Beasts. I forget how she figures it out though...

I was reading a guide on this game and someone described Zable Fahr as Kefka from FF6 on crack. XD

But I digress, this boss fight was fairly challenging for me. I was using Hawk, Lise, and Angela when I beat him. Through the whole fight I was saying, "Okay first I'll take out the ugly one, no maybe THAT ugly one. Wait...which ones the ugly one?"

Zable Fahr is the coolest boss fight in the game. I've never had a rough battle against him (although most people from messageboards usually have a difficult battle)

OK this battle i was so easy for me: Hawk + Rogue class + silver dart= Ownage. Plus i have some papa poto claws (took me forever to get them, still had more for archdemons dark form)

Most don't know it but Silver Dart is the best attack spell in the game...

Since it does quite a bit of Light type damage and only costs, what, 2 MP. xD
