Which is why people like him and Bonds were able to have so much sucess late in their careers. Cub Fan is a completely unique animal. He'll never admit it, but the 100 years thing defines Cub Fan's existence as a baseball fan. He wears it like a badge of honor. He can say "See? I know they're going to break my heart, like they've done my entire life, but I still love 'em. I'm loyal." I don't know how Cub Fan would react if they ever did win a championship. I'm a Red sox fan and I must say that I really hope the Cubs win it if the Sox don't this year. It's the 100th anniversary since the last Cubs world series win, and when the Red Sox won in 2004 it was the 100th year of the World Series so hopefully that says something. Oh yeah, I'm also a White Sox fan too so if the Cubs nor Red Sox win, I hope the White Sox do.
