  • And if you look to your right you will see the rusting remains of the Ark Royal and Invincible as they are slowly stripped of anything of value ready to be towed to a Turkish scrapyard....

  • Lol a Carrier named after Bush... What were they thinking?

  • @Falcontronics it's named after the first bush

  • @Falcontronics also, Bush senior, was the youngest Naval Pilot in American history, he also went through some close calls on his combat missions once being shot down.

  • had no better name to give to that aircraft carrier?

  • This carrier was with the seventh fleet when it was sunk by china right?

  • Only those that have been repress will ever know the price of freedom!

  • VIVAN LOS ESTADOS UNIDOS SON LO MEJOR Y CUANDO DICEN QUE SE UNA TODOS EN CONTRA DE EEUU ES POR QUE SON LOS MEJORES.

  • This CVN is currently in my harbor, in marseille, fuck it, 5000 US troops in my city will result in bar fight and drunk guy trying to rape girls...USN is great but has to be carefull in what they allow people to do in foreign countries...they'll not do the same in USA i guess...

  • Great more ships to be manned by our poor to go and bomb some third world toilet resulting in Americans being burdened with more debt and more grief to pay for this misery.

I want my country back and our soldiers on our land.

  • A monumental disgrace that such a magnificent ship is named George Bush. Yeah, named after the Senior, but is it possible to not think of the corrupt, mindless imbecile, barely literate war criminal you had in the white house for 8 years when hearing such name? Anyways, albeit beautiful, they are obsolete, a gigantic death trap: when they face modern anti-shipping missiles, that will be the CVN doomsday.

  • @vonkaunaz

    Speak for yourself.

If you want to see something disgraceful, find a mirror.

There's a good reason as to why carriers are guarded by destroyers, cruisers and submarines.

  • @vonkaunaz um..no U.S navy ships can now shoot down ICBM missiles, and the Carriers Defense is made to stand up against great numbers of Anti-ship missiles and aircraft.

  • Ha ha the American way is bigger is always better, lol. There was a time when the Royal navy used to have some very imppresive ships. But yes, no one can compete with an American Aircraft carrier.

  • What an awesome ship. The USS Barack Obama will be a rowing boat or a canoe.

  • Amusing, all the anti-American wankers here; comments dripping with disdain, or is it really envy. They know their own navies can never hope to build or own a warship like this.

    Suck on that, losers

  • @gangster3591 Those that trash the United States forget that we are a nation of immigrants,so they are only trashing there own ancestry! And when a foreign invader bears down on there country it's funny how they start looking over the horizon for a U.S. aircraft carrier!

  • Brought back memories was VS-22's Corpsman when the squadron deployed on USS Saratoga for it's 1980 Mediterranian Cruise and aboard the USS John F Kennedy for it's 1982 Mediterranian and Indian Ocean cruise

  • I vote the USS Bill Clinton, and put a #69 on the side.

  • They named a carrier after one of the Bush family,! What next USS Richard Nixon.. or maybe USS Donald Henry Rumsfeld

  • @1stMrSceptical The next carrier being built CVN-78 has already been name Gerald R Ford and is a new class of carrier and will be known as The Gerald R Ford Class.

  • @TheBluesbreaker Ford yet another doggy American President. The one who grant a presidential pardon to his pal President Richard Nixon for his role in the Watergate scandal.

Why not name this new ship after The peanut farmer Carter?( you could make some great limericks with a ship bearing his name) he was after all not tainted with in any scandal whilst in office, unless you know differently ..

  • @TheBluesbreaker44 How do u pronouce Gerald?

  • @1stMrSceptical George H.W. Bush is a WW2 veteran, he is a decorated pilot once shot down. He was also Director of the CIA, Vice President and President. If you have a problem with those credentials for having a Carrier named after him... you should have your head examined.

  • @r1cw All I know is this family is not to be trusted. The inability to tell the truth started somewhere, maybe come from Daddy? Take Jed Bush I would not him for neighbour and as for Bubba Bush you joke President how did that come about, I tell you how the Old pals act and the power of Oil. H W B and his WW2 career? You only had to shoot yourself in the foot and they would issue a purple heart. What a load of baloney... ..

  • @1stMrSceptical I get it, you are anti Bush. That's fine but my point is that a carrier is a Military piece of hardware and naming it after a man who served the government that uses said carrier for 50 years is appropriate. People usually shot themselves to get our of going back into battle not for medals, that is a ridiculous statement. And he got the Distinguished Flying Cross which I'm sure you don't know what that is because like you said " ALL I know is this family is not the trusted." lol

  • @r1cw All medals are bollock. When in the military you do your duty which is part of your job. Most if not all military personal engaged in conflict will go above and beyond the call of duty, not for medals, citations, gongs, whatever, No, just to secure the safety of the group, any ideologies one may have fly out the window in the presents of any threat, unless you have never been there you will never know, all are unsung heroes and this is the way they want to stay, Medal prove nothing!

  • @r1cw As for 'shooting the foot' my metaphor for 'scratch yerself and you'll receive a Purple' Heart. In the Malayan conflict between '1962-66 the SAS would jump from 600' into the jungle canopy, would fight for days alone, unaided, no air cover. We got the job done. all with no poxy medals issued...

  • @1stMrSceptical First of all, all men (soldiers) are NOT clones and do not perform equally in combat. If they were they would all jump on grenades to save their buddies or they would all rush machine gun emplacements or in Bush's case in WW2 continue on with their bombing mission even though their plane is mortally wounded. But they DON'T. Its called going above and beyond the call of duty. Good day sir.

  • @r1cw Have you not read what I have written? I agree, combatants will go the extra mile to secure the safety of their comrades. Through experience I know this to be a fact. I know several pals who have refused decorations, these are real unsung heroes. As for Bush flying on to combat with in a stricken craft he needed his head examined.

Aircraft are expendable, Pilots, however, are not, Suicide missions are for brainwashed fools and very expensive. This is reality not a computer game..

  • @1stMrSceptical So you are typing your posts in English, not German? You're welcome. Yeah, Bush Sr. was a WWII vet, you must have read about that war right, the one where Mr. Bush and those like him kept your father and those like him out of the jaws of Hitler? Did the Germans rape your mother? No? Yeah, again, glad we could help. Don't mention it...really.

  • @Missyshubby Sounds like you're taking creddit for it. Either way, sure the u.s played a part..just like many other countries did. The way you're talking you'd think you thought the u.s won the war alone. As far as the europen side of the war goes, i'd be more inclined to thank the russians. Now the pacific, thats a bit different but still, its not like the us did it alone.

  • @Missyshubby Lmao , you ought to teach people how to be an obnoxious asshole. You're quite adept at that. Americans teaching world history is a bit of a laugh. Many years ago i was in the states on student exchange, i couldn't believe the ignorant crap those poor children were being taught.

Anyway, i'll leave you to your american history, wait..tell me again how a brave group of american sailors captured the enigma? ( by the time you guys got one they were being sold out the trunk of cars)

  • ...who layed that tiny pop-up mine that vaporized that DoomsDay ship better know as VV or formally as USS GEORGE H.W BUSH CVN-77 or worse yet the spark that sent all the singularitys collecting into one super critical mini black sun within this section ATE discharge of a bunch of TrainKillers not for hire !

~now all we was left is this little bit of my Earth crustal debris that escaped orbit before newest black hole in galaxy started to feed on this star cluster

    =semplirried my ass, dumb fuckers

  • WHERE OUR MONEY GONE...DEAR JESUS...

  • @dylanfloyd777 into the predissor to a black hole where my Earth should be for 1,000 years yet

    ~thanks for asking dylan,

=your's is a very lucky quire

  • It looks like one of the Gosport-Portsmouth ferries at the stern. I'm guessing that's how the crew are going ashore.

How far away from the thing would you say your boat was? I reas there was a 250m exclusion zone.

  • @TheMrWevo There using one of the Gosport ferries and a blue funnel boat for the liberty runs.As for how close we got to the carrier thats hard to say, the skipper did mention the exclusion zone but I would say at one point we went well inside the zone. There was a police launch going round the carrier all the time.
