Religion is made up by men. Just be Christian, love God and His Son Jesus Christ and believe He died for your sins, do good in this world, repent of your sins before you die, and we will all be in paradise as compensation. God bless us all!
God defines us, we do not define God. It is through His Church, His Body that this is done.
Saying you believe in Christ is good. However, if your ideals and interpretations contradict, albeit sometimes unknowingly, that of Tradition , the very movement of the Holy Spirit, then you are attempting to redefine Christ and that is impossible and quite hurtful spiritually.
@HellFreezesOver78 you are either Catholic, Orthodox or protestant...no such thing as just a "Christian." Each Trinitarian Christian belongs to one of those three groups. Only the first two are apostolic in origin. The last of the three is a rejection of the first 2 that occurred in the 1500's AD. So that means you have roots only going back 500 +- years, while the rest of us have them back to Jesus, Our Great God & Saviour.
Great !
