  • Amazing! Been married for only 5 years, but I hope I can feel this love after 20 years of marriage. The scene when Richard Gere presses his face against hers and says 'right now'; gives me shivers everytime!

  • The first time i saw this movie we are riding in a bus with my wife and its true that this movie was very romantic we even buy an original copy of this movie shall we dance it is the story of a very faithful husband to his wife.

  • this is what every !! man would like to do with his woman. It's great! Please dance wtih me. We can live on the air.

  • It's what we do with our lifetime partners. Everyday and all the time. remember to tell them.

  • @tly1977 people who have their partners are lucky just got finishing crying my eyes knowing in my heart i will never get my chance. will never find love:(``

  • this scene gets me all the time :') its just so romantic

  • i like this scene..so romantic..:)

  • The song is:

Peter Gabriel - Book of Love

  • What is the name of the song and artist of this scene.

  • This scene takes place in a very old department store in downtown Winnipeg called "The Bay".

It is part of the Hudson's Bay company and quite a number of scenes in Shall We Dance were done at locations in Winnipeg Manitoba Canada.

To be honest I always liked this scene, perhaps because the music is soft, the location familiar and they didn't make it too over-the-top.

  • just... beautiful
