That's understandable. I'm a waiter and if I went out to eat and my steak was obviously overcooked I would send it back also.
Just be polite and you waiter will want to help you out as best he can. Just remember that the cooks might have 20+ steaks going at once on a Friday or Saturday night so over/undercooks do happen on occasion.

So this guy and his wife were being extremely rude and acting like total douchebags. The lady was wildly shaking her empty soda glass at me like a jerk when i had both arms full with four dinner plates. The sprite refill i brought her had a special straw...which I ran under my sweaty ballsack and thru my asscrack. Needless to say I felt great about it, dont fuck with the server

I worked for a chain in the south.
The people who complained waited longer for their order.
Then it would be slightly cold and the fries would be extra greasy from frying them twice.
We notced the second time they didn't complain.
Plus our manager never washed his hands while handling their orders.
Lifes a bitch so never be one in a restaurant.

No. At least not in decent places. I'm a full time server and I never mess or let people mess with my table's food, even if they're assholes. If they're assholes I WILL bitch about them out the back though.
But if you complain politely then I won't mess with your food and I won't bitch about you either, I'll just get it fixed. :D

Yeah, I worked as a cook, and If you sent back the food saying it's the wrong meal, or something's wrong with it, we never fuck with the food, especially if the reason for which you sent it back is legit. However, we might let a little stuff slide a little, such as saying the untouched plate you just sent back to us for another order ;P

who ever came up with the phrase "the customer is always right" is full of shit, anyone who works in a restaurant can say that only a small percentage of complaints are legitimate, the rest are people who do it for attention or want to feel superior to others like the chick in this clip, you know the complaint is bogus when you bring their food back and (a) fuck around with it or (b) bring it back the exact same way and they say its perfect. it's usually the same people who complain all the time
