@iRacingDavid Too easy? are you that fucking stupid? maybe its too easy when your using a controller with no skill, if you play with a wheel, believe me its pretty much exactly what you see here, real world physics apply in GT5 and believe me, you actually apply tsuchiya's 6 basic tech's from the drift bible and they would work, i tuned my FC3S to almost the same settings i have it to in GT5 and it feels about 90% the same for suspension tranny and LSD settings, so serioulsy stfu noob.

@Shibidibo haha thats because its meant to be easy thats why you can drift it in GT5, put a motec in your car, take the input data, then compare it to input data on gt5 you'll see that even if you do it wrong gt5 will make it right. Try real simulations like NetKar, or iRacing, then you'll be able to see the difference, if you can't they YOU are the noob :) btw just cause you think it's 90% close doesn't make it true, in my case, data proves that Gran turismo isn't realistic,pedals inputs fyi

@iRacingDavid than why can i drift my real car nearly identifcal to the setup i have in the game with a few minor differences such as toe angle and the negative camber, but overall my setup irl is about 9/10th's to that of the game, its okay, your just probally a fan boy who wont listen to what anyone else has to say unless they aggree with you.

@Shibidibo waou you just like to insult people with no ground, if data shows that its not realistic, then its not, not my fault, compare similar data from in game to the real world you'll see, you, using the same settings as the game only shows that the tendencies are the same, so its proportional to reality, only easier on all things, steering / throttle application / grip levels are made to be easier so people can play with controllers, and crappy wheels. You're the one not listening here...

part 3.U GUYS SOUND SO STUPID!!!! the reason why takumi learns to drive an AE86 with a bluetop 4A-G(besides the more exciting storyline) is because Bunta(yes hes a real person) and Keiichi were top rivals and they both fought with "light Tune" AE86s with normal engines w/upgraded suspension, brakes and body. Bunta was said to be slightly faster than Keiichi, but keiichi chose to become a pro driver and Bunta went on with a "normal life". no he doesn't have a son named takumi in real life.

ITS NOT AKINA!!! its Mt haruna and Mt. haruna has 2 drift spots. one is yaseone touge(were takumi drives every night and initial d takes place) and another one is called Tenjin touge(in initial d manga vol. 32 it shows itsuki taking his AE85 with takumi through TENJIN TOUGE). yes all the touges("akina" yaseone, akagi, myogi, usui, irohazaka, happougahara, enna, momiji, tsukuba fruits line, shomaru, ECT...) are real!!!!!

SORRY BUT ALL U GUYS SOUND STUPID!(few exceptions) this touge is in nagano prefecture. yes all the touges in initial d are real!! tsuchiya had 2 homecourses, usui touge and this one in nagano. he practiced in nagano with a KP61, then got an ae86 and moved to usui cuz back then only fast ppl and pro rally drivers were allowed on USUI. *CAR SPECS* his car has original bluetop 4A-G(130HP) with TRD shocks and cut TRD springs. upgraded exhaust and intake, wheels and tires, with TRD stiffer bushings.

In this vid, Tsuchiya doesn't drift for show. He is actually trying to go as fast as he can. That's why he lets the car to understeer towards the exit of the corners, instead of powering-over as you would have seen in other drift videos.

I just wanted to make a note of that for other ppl watching.

If it were early 90's... still, amazing pristine looking AE86 - and of course, DK Keiichi Tsuchiya is the man! For the people saying there is too much understeer. You need understeer to drift, the more understeer you have the more you can open the throttle allowing more speed trough the corner while drifting. Of course too much understeer just won't allow the car to oversteer and initiate the drift.

mate i think the toyota aproved masscot of the ae86 and legendary street racer knows how to tune his cars thanx, remmeber on the track this man used an 86 to beat down higher power turbod skylines and has been driving touge since he was very young to help with his familys buisness and these arent race tracks there bumpy harsh mountain roads with alot of road gaps the suspension needs to beable to deal with those bumps to efectivly keep the tyres firmly on the road

ya i agree to ekkuzakku that the car need a better suspension. It's a bit understeer in sharp corners. he should change the rear suspension to stiff and soften the frontal suspension for more grip in frontal tires
