  • I was at that awkward 13-year old stage of my life when this was out - this really takes me back.

  • Love this song x

  • 60's & 70's best era of music ever ...... 50's started it 80's finished it.

  • Which member of the Drifters sang this so beautifully? Anyone know?

  • @babaloula jOHNNY mOORE

  • Oh the 1970's!! I was 14 when this came out!! God I miss those days!! If we had one chance to go back to a time in our life!! Just one!! It would be then..I loved it..

  • I miss the music from the 70s. Fabulous.

  • yeah this song reminds back in 73 , sydney Australia, a good song and a good country.

  • luv this song, takes me back to easier days.

  • so two fools don't know fantastic music when they hear it , soooo sad

  • This song is about having an affair and how everyone will spread the news in a small town unless they keep the relationship like sister and brother until alone together.

Its funny how people dont listen to the words ..like red light spells danger is about his addiction to prostitutes or mr brightside is about her cheating on him..had a few of these cheat songs be asked for first dance at weddings lol

  • Love this song, takes me back to my youth, happy memories. ;-))

  • Love this song, but I've always wondered - why keep it "like sister and brother"? Why can't they just stay something out loud? Somebody (somebodies) else in the picture, perhaps?

  • I used to play this on a chad valley record player with the needle in the lid

Gosh propa brought it all back xxxx

  • Ah this is just beautiful.....I started High School when this hit the UK charts which would have been August 1973.........and it strums the old heartstrings as much now as it did then....thank you for posting sxitezza.

  • @GRAHAM5020 Your welcome Graham, it is rather good isn't it, one of the all time classics that you could never tire of hearing, hope all's good with you my friend...

  • @GRAHAM5020 We didn't and don't have "high school" in the UK. Why are you trying to pander to the Yanks?

We are the home of humanity. We had infant and junior schools. I'm proud of that. Let Speilberg and the other arseholes write films about our memories, and not the ones they make up for us.

  • @leslawrenson Nothing to do with pandering to Americans.....but this song actually does remind me of High School......still a great song

  • @GRAHAM5020

    Terry

  • Good songs like this were still around when I was born. Some may agreewith me, but the quality of music really began to decline about the time I left high school in the early 1990's. To this day, I prefer the songs from 1960 to 1980. Mum got me into a good thing by playing this sort of music when I was small.

  • bellooooooooooooo
