  • This true check burnout paradise no license car but it's awesome. Every car is different having a faster car don't mean it would jump further normally the lighter car would.

  • I couldn't agree more with you Jett you echo my thoughts and feelings exactly regarding the current stae of Football (soccer ) games.

I miss the PS1 and PS2 days where there were several other good alternative choices. Okay they weren't all great but each offered something different and allowed us gamers to have a good variety of football games.

This gen we only have the two to choose from and neither in my opinion have the same addictiveness of the old PS2 titles such as WE 7 etc.

  • I loved this is football 2003. The transfer market was incredibly addictive which made up for it's average gameplay.

  • I remember a football title i owned on the Dreamcast that got around the licence issue in a novel way.. All the players names were spelt phonetically, so you had players called (for example) Roo knee, Drogbar, Ashlee Coal..

The game sucked donkey balls but it was cool to hear the comentator call out the players names..

Anyone remember what the game was called?

  • Their used be other soccer games back in the day , Actua Soccer , Virtua striker , This is football , sensible soccer. Nowadays no and as for the licences thats down to EA cause they know FIFA has shit gameplay so therefore need a selling point !

  • so who has the best gameplay kid ?

  • About the Argentinean League license, here in Argentina we're waiting for, i don't know, like 10 years or more for a football game to represent our league. But while the president of AFA (who is in charge from the 70s) remains in his charge, we'll have to wait a lot more. He's a mafioso, and there are rumours that he ask for a lot of money to sell the rights.

  • you are a mafioso?

  • LOL, I'm not the president of one of the most corrupt organizations in my country, so no, I'm not a mafioso.

Search for a pic of Julio Grondona in Google Images, then tell me if he couldn't have auditioned for a Corleone role in The Godfather xD

  • why he is not dark skin? in south america people are black

  • Troll

  • @theflea86 why man whats up? :(

  • totally agree :)

  • Totally agree with everything here. I've no doubt 2K Sports would make a great football game, but maybe they feel the contrived licensing issues surrounding football a barrier to entry on the market. I've always thought exclusive licensing is ridiculous - it's short term profiteering rather than the long term benefit of flooding the market with your brands (Premier League, I'm looking at you).

  • Only SEGA can made other quality Soccer Game !!

  • their graphics are crazy good in my opinion.

  • Totally agree about the licences, just annoying. If a 2K Sports or other company came in and couldn't get all the licenses, they should just go for as much S.American licences as possible and get the Libertadores and Sudamerica. As long as they had gameplay that represented the game and a great presentation and in-game atmosphere then people would buy it. I'm fed up with EA and Konami's weak attempts, I've given up on football games this year and instead i'm playing NBA2K10, which I love

  • best baseball game was baseball stars 2 on the Neo Geo!

A long time ago there used to be a lot of football games. One of my favorites was World League Soccer 98 on the Sega Saturn, Man I loved that game!

Ubisoft's offering this year will be REALLY interesting. If they have the foresight to make a game that is like Pes5(cause lord know Konami wont do it) they may have a winner.

  • yes, 2K is the best option.

  • Totally agree, its a closed shop between EA and Konami, any form of extra competition could only be good for us the customers. As for the licence, i dont think it really matters as long as the gameplay is good. Sony used to release the worldwide soccer series on ps1 and 2, and they had some licenses due to the fpro player licenes. It really needs sorting out, ea have a lot to answer for, but ultimately the football associations need to stop selling themselves out too one exclusive game company.

  • Yeah it would be interesting for another company to get involved with football PES and FIFA only have eachover to compete... PES is too too easy this year hate it! And I'm a pes fan-boy, but its glitchy and shoot from anywere and score lol

  • ubisoft are supposed to be working on a football game :)

  • Well said, the whole license thing is annoying on football games. Im bored with both games this year, atleast there will be Fifa World Cup 2010 South Africa game soon.

But EA will probably make the gameplay almost identical to Fifa 10, so have not decided if I will buy it yet. Hopefully get a demo.

  • All I can hope is that the rumors of Ubisoft entering the footy game market are true and that it's not an arcade title. The licensing issues is also something that angers me too. It has gotten so bad that Konami have been stripped of the real names for American and Mexican national team players. There is absolutely nothing that demonstrates to me that Konami will finally catch up to EA in terms of technology and resources, but for the love of God I really hope they prove me wrong.

  • you shouldn't really call football 'World Football', you should call it "Association Football"

  • yo jett, sony doesnt own 2k sports, take 2 does. but there were rumors that sony london were working on "this is football" for the ps3, wish they really did, no need for licenses issues cuz sony would be making a first party game for its own platform, theoretically bein able to include any league and team they want.

  • @bl1nbl1neo

I remember this is football 4 on the ps2.

It was good, But the gameplay was pointed at trying to the impossible in the game, Like anything was possible in that game.

But since technology had grown it may have a shot.

  • If 2k made a football game, I would buy it! I really hope they do, could be interesting
