No way. I don't want worship in a church devoid of colour and warmth and no liturgy. We are not roman catholics but protestant who have the best of both. We are what the church could have been if it had listened to Luther. Any way we are all part of the catholic church and it has nothing to do with the Pope and Rome. Have you read the creeds?
Calvanism is not soley responsible for the modern world. Many of the English social reformers were anglican
"The Reformation was a devastation of England, which was at the time when this event took place, the Happiest country that the world had ever seen; Afterwards marched on devastating and inflicting torments on the people,Shedding their innocent blood; Abbeys, nunneries, hospitals & religious foundations were Confiscated by the Reformers and Jews, who brought to England the Misery of Pauperism "

One year after the tolerant and loved Queen Mary of Scotland was executed by the Reformers, the Catholic Philip V of Spain invaded England with his Armada, perhaps - urged on by Mary's execution.
Calvin was an apostate Jew, who used Divide and Conquer tactics to destroy Christianity in Europe.
No he did not. Jesus's commission to Peter was for the there and then. Rome likes to think that it is the only one that is catholic but this is not true. Any church that believes in the trinity and what is in the creeds is following the catholic faith. Rome shoud accept the fact that we are all catholic but of different traditions that are equally valid. Lets celebrate what what unites us rather than look at where we differ.
Jews have worked to divide and conquer our Faith for 2000 years, introducing all 16 heresies in the Church.
Luther was backed (& betrayed by them), and wrote JEWS AND THEIR LIES, but the damage was done-30 yr war commenced. Europe forever divided.
Jews & Prots later allied to pass Roe V Wade & Kill off 53 million Babies as told in CONFESSIONS OF AN X ABORTIONIST-Dr Bernard Nathanson, Also killing 20 million Indians (Smallpox blankets)
Your statement is contradicting, you say come home to Rome, then you say the Catholic Church. Catholic means "universal". I would agree that Christ did estalish a universal Church, however he did not establish the Roman Catholic Church. So your statement is somewhat misleading. God Bless
The earliest Christians had no Mass, no confession, no Vicar of Christ, no God's earthly representative and no mumbo jumbo. They had their faith and I'm sure they did just fine.
The RCC NEVER taught that it was threw the hands of the priest that someone got to Heaven. It only taught that it was through what the priest taught that one could get to Heaven.
@eljunior98 You wouldn't get to Heaven if you weren't baptized by a priest, or served communion by a priest, or blessed by a priest or confessed by a priest or given the last rites etc etc etc. That's what he meant by the hands of the priest.
@eljunior98 By the way, there were no Popes or priests in the early days of Christianity. So the people who actually began the religion couldn't have gone to Heaven. It's the greatest scam in history.
@EraserKneaded OK u NEED to do a little research! First of all Pope is a title that means Father but in Greek. Second the Pope is the Bishop of Rome and the head of the Church b/c he is the head of alll the other Bishops. Peter was the head of the Apostles given to him by Christ Matt 16:18-19. Lutehr and the Reformers were the ones who brought a new belief system in order! Check you local library, genius!!!
@eljunior98 I know who and what the Pope is, and his priests, and the sctructure of the church. My point is this: the earliest Christians had no church, no priests and no Popes. They met in their homes and read and discussed the teachings of Christ. They lived their faith. Did they not go to Heaven? Did God reject them? The Pope and his boys were put into business by the Roman Emporer Constantine long after Christ was gone. And suddenly they were necessary to get to Heaven.
@EraserKneaded The homes where they celebrated Mass with their bishops, priests, deacons, and lay people was the Church! They didn't have the Bible we have today unitl the 4th century and they didn't used the OT u use b/c theirs was the Septuagint Greek with 46 books NOT the Jewish canon of Scripture that was approved at the Orthodox Jewish Council of Jamnia in 90AD.
@eljunior98 Hi, it took about 200 years for the early Christian communities to develop Bishops, primarily to standardize interpretation of Scripture. I agree that was a Church, and in my opinion probably the purest form of the Christian Church. I've been using the word "Church" in a different context. I've been referring to the state-approved political/corporate entity that tells its followers they won't get to Heaven without its services and holds their souls ransom.
@eljunior98 Sorry I didn't make myself clear. The Church I was talking about is the business set in motion by Constantine in the 4th century AD. The single most successful commercial enterprise in history, the Church with its own bank for instance, under investigation for money laudering. The moneylenders have crawled back into the temple. A long long time ago. How would Christ react to that?
@EraserKneaded Wow! I guess its safe to say that u can't argue back AGAINST the FACT that the RCC is One True Church started by Christ. Money laundering is ONLY found in a few dioceses in the world, and NOT the ENTIRE or the MAJORITY of the Church! I havent heard much or anything of the sort but I know that my Diocese doesnt have that issue and niether do most of the diocese in Latin America. What does money laundering have to do with Constantine in the 4thAD genius?
@eljunior98 Don't call me genius. You don't have the intellectual resources to make that assessment. The Roman Catholic Church is a second generation organization created by Constantine when he made Christianity the official religion of the Roman Empire for his own political reasons. Hence the "Roman" in the title. It's not the church Christ had envisioned. Being a Jew, it's not likely he intended for Christians to be led by a Roman Pope tugging on the Emporer's toga.
@eljunior98 The one true church died when Constantine put his Pope into business. If you're in South America you might not need to worry about the money laundering, the Vatican's bank has to deal with that. But you might keep an eye open for all the retired Nazis who settled there with the Pope's help.
I've actually read the Qu'ran...most boring book of my life as I had to have it read to me (I'm not learning their damn language if they wont learn mine) and i actually saw on one page "And thou shalt kill all non believers where he sees them. Non-believing friends are to be cast off."

Is it really necessary to have a stupid, glottal-stop-ridden zombie voiceover for Roger Martin? If he left an account, he was obviously an educated man. Also, they are saying that the last Catholic English monarch was Mary I. Well, there were Charles II, James II, and the deathbed conversion of Edward VII, and a few other monarchs whose religious beliefs were - how shall we say? - not quite what they seemed at first glance.
What is popular about not being able to read? What is evil about instituting education and giving people a better life? Consider if England, even without the King creating the Church of England so he could have the woman of the week, where would England now be without an educated public? Did you have one under Rome? No, They killed you if you had a dissenting opinion, of course, they gathered evidence against you 1st & tortured you & this is praised now by as the beginning of trial by jury!
And you were there to be sure that he didn't tell anyone? Or you are SO IMPORTANT that G-d would surely wait to tell you, letting all the prior generations wait for you. How mad is that?
Protestants are followers of the 16th century Satanic nutcase Martin Luther. Out of him came 35,000 protestant cults, each one thinking they're 'right'. But they arent right, they are indeed the children of Lucifer.
The Catholic church is the true Christian church established by Lord Jesus through Peter. It has withstood the test of time, never splintered for 2 thousand years and has remained the one, holy and apostolic Church.
wow, you're still going on about that? Protestantism treats women well. I shudder to think where women's rights an dprogress would b e if it weren't for Protestantism.
...it was Protestants that burned women for witchcraft...Salem witch trials and whatnot? And lets not forget Anne Hutchinson who was rejected by the Puritan Protestants for daring to question the men of the church...
puritans=a small part of the larger group of protestants. The connection you just made is like saying EVERY Muslim is a radical car/underwear bomber and hijacker. They aren't and not all protestants are like this.
I did not mean to imply that all Protestants burned witches-- just that historically early Protestants (which is a universal term for all Christian religions outside what is called "High" Churches, not one particular faith) were very aggressive and often violent. Puritans were a particular religion in the Protestant faith, and they weren't all that small...but your point is taken :)
Remember Christians, the will of God is no Catholic, Protestant,Orthodox, Penticostal, Adventist, JW, Etc. NO DIVISION, Only Christians, holy, helping and sharing instead of buying and selling.
