  • I love this.Without department stores like this Santa would just be a picture in a magazine.

  • This is like the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in America :) Gotta love the large department stores,

  • @Jessielou1848 -- Wal-mart's "Winter Celebration" parade sucks though...

  • Its so typically english, even the parades are reserved looking.

  • My 15th great grandfather used to run Harrods!

  • the 1st prople dancing was mexxxx

  • i have to see this for 2008 christmas.

last year i was in macys 34 st in new york.

the store was so pack like sardines.

  • Hi looks very nice. Do you have to queue ffor hours to get to see it. We are thinking of going this year. Also could you recommend any good hotels? Thanks.

  • Hi - yes it's great fun for kids and adults. You don't need to queue but if you want to ensure a good view you need to arrive between 7-7.30am. The Parade begins at 8am with the finale (Father Christmas arriving) at approximately 8.30am. Check the LondonforChristmas website for more info. (2008 updates will be available by mid October 2008). Sorry, I cannot help with hotel recommendations, but travelling to Harrods is not difficult as it has a very close tube stop nearby.

  • I wish I was there this year. :-P Thanks for posting!
