This is a CASEVAC not a MEDEVAC. As earlier stated the US Army has the only MEDEVAC mission for the US. The difference is that MEDEVAC is a dedicated platform crewed by medical personal not by folks that are trained to do other jobs such as SAR. It's 2 different missions. Both have their rolls on the battlefield. While PJ and other special operations personal are crossed trained for medical care MEDEVAC only does MEDEVAC. And yes we pick them all up. OCF, SF, ANA, EC, EPW, non military,
The only true MEDEVAC in the US arsenal is the U.S. Army also known as DUSTOFF. Real MEDEVAC units enter the combat zone with only the safety of the red cross on their aircraft, no guns out the windows, as a matter of fact crew served guns on a MEDEVAC is against the Geneva Convention. Also a TRUE Medic would have never fought with their patient, they would have RSI'ed the patient and then protected the airway (intubate) and given pain medication. GOD BLESS DUSTOFF (WOLF PACK)
@SGMgraybush11 While Dustoff is well and truly a Godsend to those who are wounded, PJs and their squadrons will pick up ANY and ALL wounded friendly troops, as well as civilians. Does Dustoff pick up wounded Danish or British soldiers and treat them? I don't know, but the PJs certainly do. We go after Rangers, Marines, SEALs, Delta, ANA, and NATO troops to name but a few. And besides, that, we go in ARMED. HUA!
whoever wrote this dialogue has no fucking clue what PJ stands for! Splitknife, thanks for explaining to those who don't know what Pararescue Jumpers are! Hoo-ah
@OccasionalVids incorrect, only Army Special Forces go by Special Forces operators cause theyre the only Special Forces, and your right they do do other stuff but never by themselves as a unit, they sometimes deploy with other teams as a medical asset to Ranger, SF, and other such teams that need them
why even argue with these 13 year old armchair generals? anyone in the military community knows PJs are one the most highly trained special forces operators. it takes two years....
Do i need to whip out a wikipedia link to PJs??? They are part of AFSOC. The "S" and "O" stand for special operations. PJs are considered special operators. Theres a difference between Special Operations aka special operators, and special forces. The latter being the hollywood term for elite soldiers. I don't think the AF even calls anything "Special Forces". Pararescue Jumpers, Combat Controllers, TACPs, and even Special Operations Weather Technicians are all part of the Spec Ops community.
@splitknife theres only 1 special forces and that s Armys "Special Forces" its not a holly wood term thats what they're called, pj are apart of AFSOC thats their special OPERATIONS not forces like the guy said pjs are NOT SF operaters
@OrloTheM3D1C I know that man, I'm a 13B in the Army. But I'm saying there's no AFSC that is called "Special Forces". Or even a job that comes close to what Green Berets actually do.
@splitknife haha thnx I appreciate that, but I'm sure youll save more of our lives than I will with effective artillary fire; keep at it brother, and thanks for serving our Country.
this guy deserves all of Obamas wages.

This is a simple extraction, not a medivac. The geneva convention specifically requires NO GUNS ON BOARD BY MEDIC, OUTSIDE OF PERSONAL PROTECTION.

They need to wear the flag on their right arm the right way (not backward as done).....
FlatulousMaximus 6 months ago
@FlatulousMaximus No thats how its supposed to be. Its as if they are going INTO battle and if it was a real flag it would be facing that way.

They called them "prepared jumpers" but they are certainly pararescue are they not?

5:30 possible refers to probability while imminent refers to timing therefore it isn't a double negative.
