:) I thought I was the only one with that kind of graphic card ;P my friends are joking with me and they laugh at me just because I got a graphic card that is upside down
It would be a better setup if you put your sub on the floor and you r tower on the table... when the tower is on the floor, it sucks up a lot of dusts.
im 18 not too smart about technological things but i was wondering how hard is it to make a gaming pc i know that its best to get a big casing for more circulation
Yeah, you want to monitor temperatures to prevent failure. I got an outdated Lian Li case with a modern AM3 Phenom II x4 (965) and it's just not blowing out enough of the hot air. I'm thinking about modding the back to have a 120mm fan or swapping the 80mm fans for something more powerful. Drops 12c just from removing the side panel.
Yeah, I'm also looking at Lian Li's case parts where they have a side panel that fits my case with slots for 2 140mm fans to suck air out of the case.
@kokumosu that's not really true...You can get a mid tower, and just do some excellent wire management, such as tucking it behind your case to get maximum airflow. Also You want positive airflow, like, Not where the front bezel is sucking in air, while the back/side/top are too sucking in air...you might want to look at a case that allows you to change configurations, HAF 932/22 are great cases...but I'll get back when I do. Its all about air flow.
Triple channel is 3 lanes running from the DIMM's to the CPU. Currently the high end i7's and AMD chips use triple channel on their motherboards. Now the low end i5's, i7's ect. run dual channel DDR3 DIMM's to the CPU. Socket 775's run 2 lanes dual channel DDR2. Low end i5, i7 run dual channel DDR3. The highend i7's run DDR3 triple channel. The triple channel boards are a lot more and the ram is DDR3 3 module kits. (2GBX3) 6, 12, 24 ect.
yeah, you and I are talking about two different things. I understand the concept of triple channel and dual channel boards. I cant even remember seeing dual channel i7 boards when I built mine 10 months ago, everything was triple channel. But the memory kits are not needed. If it says triple channel kit it only means its three of the same stick that works for any DDR3 board, which you can purchase individually as well if cheaper.
so what you're saying is all triple channel boards are backwards compatible with dual channel kits? And if so why wouldn't you just buy DDR3 triple channel ram bc you said they were the same price?
In this guys case, maybe he could only afford 2 sticks at the time.. then later on maybe have money for the third. So dual channel at first, then triple channel later on.
Love the Zalman, they really add a lot to a custom build.
Upgraded to windows 7 yet?
If this were my build I would have spent the little extra money to get an i7, then your DDR3 could run in triple channel and its a faster processor being a quad core. You can overclock an i7 920 to 3.4ghz easily.
A little more money? It would be a lot more money. The cpu (i7 920) is over half of the e8500. Plus when you figure the 1366 mobo's and DDR3 Ram are a lot more expensive than a socket 775 mobo. I would have been a 400-500 dollar difference and that is a lot considering he only spent around 800.
I dont understand what you mean by the DDR3 costing more, he already bought DDR3, he can use it and get a 3rd for triple channel at any time down the road. A 1366 mobo costs the same as a 775, its just a different socket, the only difference in price would be the processor, which 8 months ago was about a $130 difference. 8 months ago, that mobo was averaging $240, he spent more than $800 unless he has access to special deals. (like working for BBY or Intel) $130 more isnt much.
You can run dual channel on a triple channel board, and IF later on you buy a third stick of the SAME memory it will run in triple channel. Intel DX58SO for example can do this,(it does triple channel but has 4 mmry dimms) which costs less than his Asus MOBO here. The memory doesn't cost more, it is the same stuff. My 3x2GB DDR3 @ 1600Mhz was $70 off newegg(shellshocker). This guy went top of the line on everything but the CPU, im just saying it wouldnt have been much more to go for the i7
but wouldn't running dual channel defeat the purpose of having more data flow? YES and fairly no boards can run both. Shellshocker maybe...but the prices now are $100 for dual to tri. At the time when he built it would have been a substantial amount of money. I tried upgrading to i7, mobo, and tri. =$650 ha i'll stick with my current system!
@HenryLove636 Yeah that case is a bit small for those cards (reasonable space & not to mention heat) This guys got a great set up. you should seriously consider a full tower that is if you mean what you say and if you do, touting you much better you stuff is gonna be post it up.
Stop hating with the talking and start the Walking.
LMFAO a i7 975? are you a noob? Its called overclocking! Overclocking can save you 1 grand lol and how will you run 8gb of ram? The i7's (975) is triple channel dimms so it would be 6gb 12, 18, 24 ect. NUB!
nice build man watch my vid at let me know what you think of my new build its my first one and im just curious to how it compares to other peoples on youtube

Cpu @ 4 ghz 1.20 vcore----> 40/45 °C idle, 65/68 °C during stress test with Orthos, 75°C during Intel Burn Test....Summer is not optimal period for overclocking
Aha, thanks. I'm looking for a CPU fan that's quiet. The stock one is quiet when lower the speed, but it automatically increases the speed once the CPU gets hot. I hope that's not the case with this one.
Ty m8. The PC did cost me about 1100 euro, peripherals (monitor, speakers, mouse etc) about 530....the rig was build in April 2009 with european prices. Now Hardware's prices are much lower :(
But i dont know who is better for cooling in my system...!!from your opinion wich is better apollo or lexa cuz im little confused with the cooling of those two cases.!!
My system will be:
Asus p5q deluxe
corsair dominator with airflow fan(DDR2)
ATI 4870 Radeon 2gig.
NZXT APOLLO OR LEXA I DONT KNOW YET :S
E8600 3,33(WITH Zalman 9700)
THERMALTAKE 850 watts. For you wich is better for cooling the LEXA OR THE APOLLO??
the cooling system of lexa and apollo is the same...but lexa has 4 fans installed, apollo only 3 as i remember (but you could install one)... btw mate for me lexa is much more beautiful!
Overall air's recirculation in nzxt lexa is good enough. Original fans:
-Mobo's Temperature is among 49-57 °C in this hot summer period. That's OK
-VGA reaches 75 °C max during games and this is really good, thanks to the Sapphire VAPOR-X cooling system. OK
-I Overclocked my Cpu and RAM. Now i'm running E8500 @ 4018 Mhz and Ram's @ 1280 Mhz (downgrade from 1333 Mhz) but i set aggressive timings @ 7-7-7-19 from 9-9-9-24......temperatures are (in this summer period) 42°C Idle and 65°C in full load during Orthos
Hey man:)nCc Vid and nC specs:)..!!Can u tell me the fans 80mm coolermasters the code of them? example:Coolermaster 320495 80mm Fan..!!i will wait respond :D..!!and another question:P who is better case from these i will tell you right now.!!:D NZXT APOLLO NZXT LEXA NZXT TEMPEST ANTEC 900 ANTEC 1200 Coolermaster nvidia edition Coolermaster cosmos red/black S window from your opinion who is the best of these cases?;D ty a lot and dont forget tell tha 80mm coolermaster fans code;)
Hey! what a strange question m8 (about the fans) ;)
Therefore, on the fan there 2 codes...1) A8025-18CB-5BN-L1; 2) PL80S12L-4
For me NZXT Lexa is far the most beautiful, Antec 1200 and Cosmos are the most functional, they are perfect for cable management and for high-end PCs!
that blinking light is a little bit annoying... but of course that is only my opinion... cool pc dude... i would love to build one... but i would have to go on a budget friendly build...
What is love? baby, dont hurt me :D

Cpu @ 4 ghz 1.20 vcore----> 40/45 °C idle, 65/68 °C during stress test with Orthos, 75°C during Intel Burn Test....Summer is not optimal period for overclocking
MagicParadise85 2 years ago
what about with min rpm? I'd like to know, because with max rpm it's a bit too loud for me. Thanks.
peterfaj 2 years ago
about +3 °C with fan at min speed
MagicParadise85 2 years ago
Aha, thanks. I'm looking for a CPU fan that's quiet. The stock one is quiet when lower the speed, but it automatically increases the speed once the CPU gets hot. I hope that's not the case with this one.
peterfaj 2 years ago
No no, as you can see in the video this cpu cooler is very quiet till 2000 rpm! Over this threshold a bigger noise it's normal

What's going on dude. Kick ass rig. How much did it cost you if you don't mind me asking?
3lack0blivion 2 years ago
Ty m8. The PC did cost me about 1100 euro, peripherals (monitor, speakers, mouse etc) about 530....the rig was build in April 2009 with european prices. Now Hardware's prices are much lower :(

Ty a lot Bro For Answer me.!!:))
I bought a NZXT APOLLO AND A NZXT LEXA..!!
FriendlySpec 2 years ago
the cooling system of lexa and apollo is the same...but lexa has 4 fans installed, apollo only 3 as i remember (but you could install one)... btw mate for me lexa is much more beautiful!
Overall air's recirculation in nzxt lexa is good enough. Original fans:
1x 120mm air in (front)
1x 120mm air out (rear)
1x 120mm air in (on the side)
1x 80mm air out (on the top)
Dont' worry bro, air flow in the case is good

That's all bro!

Hey! what a strange question m8 (about the fans) ;)
