Omg I have a 22 month old. I've had her a month and work w her constantly! Still nothing. Just noises. I made a noise once and she picked it up but she refuses to talk consistently. She got spooked the other day and flew off her perch after landing she said "ooo I fell". I know she can do out she just won't. How can I encourage her to talk? Ive tried clicker and treat.

Lots of people do! Each bird has a certain way they like to take a bath! I know a guy who had 3 macaws he said he got in the shower one day and he turned around to get shampoo and they were all 3 on the shower banister! Mine like to take them under the sink faucet! To each his own I guess :)

curious if she is known to be a female or you are just refering to her as such? i had a female Grey (she laid eggs so im positive) who did much the same as your bird as far as appropriate speech.. often putting words together w/ her favorite word thus making her own phrases.. she would for example say 'here, here' repeatedly as i ate something she wanted.. makes sense when you consider that when i *handed* her something to eat i would say "here, Kenya" (she did not say her name when doing this)

@gr0s9000 I have an African Grey and they are pretty expensive. I'm in the UK and mine was just over £800 so that's about $1000-1200 dollars. But they are well worth the price. It's such a rewarding experience owning one and they give up so much love.

Tui is amazing! Her vocabulary at such a young age makes me completely jealous. My Gray is 2 1/2 now, with about 50 words now...plus songs, and animals... she was a little slow to start but each month she learns something new. i just love my Koko! and can see how much you love your beautiful Tui!
