  • I've always asked those questions about Goldilocks. Four words guaranteed to make me laugh every time Appendectomy stand back goodbye

  • "you're a dirty girl"

    "do what daddy tells you"

    nearly pissed myself

  • Honestly, I think I'd listen to the midwife over the surgeon.

  • @Jcolinsol More fool you.

  • In a world full of women... one man experienced constipation.

  • Snappy eh? So Dara and Jo Brand were on the same areoplane.

  • A tear heals better than a cut?!

    "No it fuckin' doesn't."

  • i am a nerd. dara o'briain said so

  • aaaand now i will never have children...

  • "do what daddy tells ye"

    ahahahahaha

  • daddy bear eats more mummy bear eats least and the child eats the second most

  • 0:50

  • The small bowl of porridge cools faster because it has a higher surface area : volume ratio than daddy bear's bowl!

  • Do what Daddy tells ya

  • I breathed in half a cup of tea and nearly shorted my pc out in the process of coughing it out when he got to the bit about the bear. It was worth it.

  • Oh god. I know very little about childbirth but...I think I know what Dara's talking about with the "tear or cut" thing....eeeeee....yeah, not having kids.

  • @PointsofData I'd probably turn to the doctor and say "Be generous with the stitches" if you catch my drift.

  • He is right, do not fear us non nerds, we will not harm you, unless you try to get rid of my PS3 in which case I will go mental! ;)

  • @ILOVEHASSELHOFF Yeah and you also love hasselhoff. Your whole life pretty much seems like one big bad decision.

  • @grimtango5280 Aaaaahahahahahahaha pwnd!

  • @grimtango5280 Boom! Your quick haha xD

  • Why why WHY did I think that watching this in a library would be a good idea?? I can't laugh out loud but I need to so badly!! :L

  • i am THANKFUL that i dont know what daras talking about when he said differnce between cuts and tears

  • yay, I'm a nerd

  • Never mind, it was a tear (Like tearing something apart) and a cut right?

  • @hauk93 google: episiotomy

  • Hi, can anyone tell me what he said that made all the women go "awww", all I could get out of it was "A tear or a knot" and if that's corrects can someone explain that to me. Thanks in advance!

  • @hauk93 First of all: They did not go "awww" as in "awww what a cute kitten". They wen't "oohhh" as in "oohh, that hurts".

Secondly, he didn't say "a tear or a knot". He said "a tear or a cut".

Now try to eat a watermelon.... whole.

  • @phonkey Sorry, its just that English is my second language and if you add different medical procedures and a thick Irish accent, its hard to fully grasp what it means.

  • Dirty, Naughty and Do What ur Daddy Tells You

  • Dara saying GOODBYE! as Dr. Bear was one of the funniest things I've ever seen

  • @RealSpic666 Cry more, little piggy. Cry for me.

  • @erminefurs, MY medical professional, the person who delivered my 2nd child, was the person who told me that the tear would heal stronger than the slice.

  • @TarlaStar Lying isn't very nice. I've done surgeries, treated both cut and tear wounds, and have helped my 3 cousins with their children. It's definitely not true.

  • @erminefurs1 Don't be a jerk. I'm telling you what my doctor told me.

  • @erminefurs1 please see the first two links when you google "episiotomy vs. tearing" You will discover that I am 1) not lying and 2) correct.

  • @TarlaStar Erm... Neither of those is written by a doctor or midwife, and thus isn't a reliable source. They don't even say you're right, they list pros and cons. So I think I'll continue to listen to the doctors and midwives who delivered my family's children, and the surgeon that Dara is married too. The pages you list also contain testimony from women swearing that episiotomy was safe and effective during both pregnancies, and horror stories of friends of theirs who didn't and tore horribly.

  • @TarlaStar Episiotomy should NOT be the default choice by any means. Not at all. It should be evaluated on a case to case basis to decide what is best for each patient. There will be cases where a risking a small tear is better. But a hell of a lot more women died of horrible consequences before the procedure was invented and it's a terrible shame that some women will still suffer needlessly because of people spreading misinformation... So please don't.

  • @TarlaStar If you google "mayo clinic episiotomy" you will get a website written by doctors that supports what I said. That episiotomies can ease birth and heal more quickly, but that this should be decided on a case by case basis.

  • @TarlaStar And I apologize about accusing you of lying; it is so very common here. But I strongly believe you misunderstood your doctor. Only extremists would be 100% against episiotomies. There is just SO much evidence in its favour that just cannot be overlooked.

  • I have just discovered his stand up - so far I only knew him from mock the week - but he is AMAZING!

  • A tear doesn't heal better, but rather, stronger than a cut. Hold your forefingers side by side and then hold your fingers interlaced...which do you think is going to be stronger under pressure? The only place I tore was where they cut me.

  • @TarlaStar I'm a medical professional, and I think you have a fundamental misunderstanding on what is going on during that procedure. If you tear, it causes MUCH more tissue damage, and can cause other injuries as well. Ideally, you don't want to tear or be cut at all, but if there's a risk of tearing they cut so the damage is lessened. Doctors aren't stupid, they do things for your own good. People should have more faith in them and not doubt them just because they think they know better.

  • @TarlaStar It's the difference between a balloon being blown up too far and bursting vs. making an opening and slowing letting the air out. A build up of pressure to bursting point is much more damaging than a controlled release. As painful a metaphor as that is. lol

  • Haha, I was doing some push ups next to my computer and when I heard his bear joke I fell on my face... As soon as I heard the joke my arms just gave out and I just started laughing before I even hit the ground. Haha.

  • Most sergents for the initial cut will use a bear....haahahaa

  • I love his "Lads Lads Lads" run he dose.^^

  • A bear in a doctor outfit has to be the greatest thing EVER!!!

  • I almost died from laughing at the bear thing :)

  • A mess, in a hospital.

  • The smaller bowl of porridge has a higher surface area to volume ratio, and so cools down faster:)

  • "eEEEEHHHH, it's not a fucking badger"

    Now that was hilarious.

  • 9:30 what the hell was the choice about? a tear or a curse? didn't get it at all nor the noise afterwards lol

  • @truthmouthpiece2 between a tear and a cut.

  • @truthmouthpiece2 Yeah, like wardzer said, it's "cut," not "curse," and the deal with that thing is that when a woman gives birth, she can choose between letting her vagina tear when she pushes the baby out (which obviously is bigger than the aperture through which it will pass through), or make it easier for herself by letting the doctor make an incision on either end of her vagina.

  • dude i would totally sit next to a baby crocodile, such a cute adorable thing

  • Saw this show live, the reaction when it came to "the noise" was HILARIOUS. You could see every woman in the room going "I'm not going to make the noise" and then every single one of us made the noise.... Soooo funny.

  • Nurse: Doctor bear to theatre 3...Doctor Bear to theatre 3

    Dr. Bear: RAAAAAAAAAARGH!!!

  • I made the noise and I'm not even a woman lol

  • ohhh, you're a dirty girl! haha

  • New tool in the world of surgery: bears. soon, they'll be everywhere.

  • The bear thing was how exactly how a bear being a doctor played out in my mind.

  • i nearly cried when the bear thing happened. its gotta be Ed.

  • @boondag From the way that Dara said it, I was also totally sure it was Ed as well!!

  • @ObscureCrimson Wow. 'also' and 'as well' in one sentence. My bad! That was more than slightly redundant!

  • @boondag definitely Ed

  • Dr. Bear to theatre three - classic.

  • do what daddy tells you!!

  • the minute he said NCT and just knew he was going to mention that he made a fuck up in the irish shows :)

  • I love the camera now just awkwardly filming the kid

  • Ehhhh It's not a badger.

  • Fuck, i miss this stuff on Dutch TV... would be awesome to watch =D

  • 8:42 over and over :)

  • ehhh... it's not a fuckin' badger!

  • "For the first incision we use a bear" LOVE IT .... !!!

  • Brilliant comdian, I love all his stuff. But I have to say, that mum should be slapped for not taking the fuckin camera phone away from that brat the first time he commented on it. Good for him for rolling with it and tolerating their complete lack of manners. The nerve of some people. Did make for a funny bit though. :)

  • I don't get the tear or cut bit?

  • @ThePhoenix815 As in if they cut the mother open to get the baby out or the baby has to slowly force it's way out of her elastical vagina :)

  • @littleliuboy No, that's a C-Section. He's referring to an episiotomy.

  • @ThePhoenix815 He's talking about an episiotomy, which is when cuts are made to the area around the opening of the vagina. The skin stretches for birth, but sometimes the tissue tears. (Cue bad noise again.) The procedure has become controversial since the '60s when women started to demand changes to how births were handled by doctors. Episiotomies are still done to avoid post-birth problems in certain cases, but in developed countries they are no longer automatic as they can cause problems.

  • the bear comment had to come from ed byrne. lol

  • That rant on the 3 bears porridge was one the greatest things I've ever heard :D

  • Jesus!! Justin Beiber was in the front row!!

  • @dtvhr fk u..really now, in this vid u needa bring him up...

  • eeeh.. It's not a fuken badger.

    :D

  • Hahahahahaha everytime my science teacher tells us (30 year 9 girls) that their ''being very naughty'' we try to contain the laughter

  • I think it was Ed, because the way he did the voice of the "anonymous friend" sounded just like him!

  • that "how? How?? HOW??" sounds very very familiar.. Has George Carlin said that at some point? :)

  • Dr Bear: "RAAAAAAWR!" :)

  • how many other women out there made 'the noise', coz fuck i know i did....X0

  • @frickinradical i did...i was bracing myself as he was leading up to it, i just -knew- what he was going to mention.

did you see the one kids face? i think he's got an idea of what Dara was on about.

  • @frickinradical I did, even though I've have already seen this :D plus, you inhale between your teeth with a hiss :D and the hands!

  • @frickinradical so did I.

    And I'm a bloke!

  • @frickinradical yup! Hands and noise!

  • @frickinradical I made the noise and the hands..and crossed my legs tight xD

  • @frickinradical I didn't. Then again, i have no desire to have kids.

  • 11:22: Does anyone think that the friend Mr. O'Briain is quoting could be Ed Byrne? X)

Love this show! Thank you so much for uploading it!

  • @Shyyrn it can't be Ed Byrne, Dara called him "your man" and Ed is Irish.

  • @ASuperUsername "your man says" means "he says", so it may well have been Ed he was quoting

  • @5t3Maiden ah, ok, than my understanding of that term was wrong

  • @Shyyrn Is there a video somewhere of Ed Byrne saying it? (^^')

  • @NatalieeLovesMusic nah, but you know it's something he would say.

  • @Shyyrn no cause ed doesn't have kids

  • @jarvinator100 Ed and his wife recently had their first baby, right around Christmas time.

  • @Tracymmo oh right soz my bad

  • @Shyyrn Yup. Cos dara pretty much acted ed down to the tee with the cynicism.

  • @Shyyrn Yeah, that sounds a bit like Mr. Byrne.

  • @Shyyrn No, its not. In the DVD extras, Dara is watching the show with Ed Byrne and tells him that the person who made the 'bear' comment was also the same guy from his Catholic-Protestant marriage routine.

  • @Shyyrn they are pretty good mates so i wouldn't be surprised :D

  • @Shyyrn I'm sure you've heard this several times, but the 'friend' he's quoting is a doctor, who said a genuine funny line... but didn't give him any credit during the show. He lets this info slip during a drinking game with Andy Parsons and Ed Byrne. One of the extras on the DVD.
