  • thanks to derek and his missus for guiding us to summer lightning. brilliant fun for anybody thinking of going. i brought a mate who is a beginner and he had a brilliant time. if you cant find a trail there is always somebody willing to help you or guide you.

if you are thinking about doing it, DO IT!

  • love this place its just i cant jump the big log which is there now

  • I was there today!! and BOY IT WAS THE BEST!! it was too muddy though so we can run as fast as these guys are going!!

  • You missed out the big jump at 2.03 - That's the best bit!

Keep to the left of the tree instead of the chicken run on the right. I've done it on a Stumpy so you don't need a big bike for this. That track is a lot of fun though.

  • @bracey1975 This is from 2 years ago. The 'jump' to the left of the tree hadn't been built. I hit it every time.

  • @butahada My mistake mate - video's a bit blurry.... I went for the first time yesterday. We didn't ride the bottom section, but will defo give that a crack next time.

  • @bracey1975 bottom section is better (after the rooty drop off and the little kicker).

  • Rode this today the first part is realy slow!!

  • @Ashcar17 pedal faster

  • Summer Lightning's great.

  • thanks.... ill be there soon :)

  • I cant find this trail!! "2 times ive been on the hill, ive found a trail marked 'summer lightning', but cant find the section where you started on! can you give me directions, from the tower plz... :)

  • I think the map coordinates for the start of Summer Lightning are TQ14778 44605. (NE of the tower, and directly north of Coldharbour Common)

  • 2:47 love that jump:)

  • sureeee your battery ran out!! you blantently fell off! That bit is hard goin at speed lol

  • would u recomend a dmr hardtail for trails? sorry for the irrelvant question but u look like u kno wht your doing, manythanks

  • Yeah you'd be fine on a HT. Not familiar with DMR though.

  • This looks like fun.

  • Summer lightning ...... and beyond! I recognise some of theose trails from previous outings to the Leith Hill area. Good stuff. Worth the drive down from Essex for sure.

  • hi again, been trail blazing around there a lot since. its great. i didnt realise the drop coming up after the video finished! its great! also, whats the best way getting back up, any other trails?

  • Lots of trails around there; Bary Knows Best, Waggle dance, Telegraph Road, Deliverance, Yoghurt Pots also fun to be had in the Quarry. But they're not sign posted, you'll have to explore, get out your map and head towards Leith & Pitch Hill.

  • excellent! i reckognised the last lane, its coldharbour! i only know it from offroading. im going out now for a ride up there!

  • about 35 miles from London. Dorking is your nearest town/station

  • Cool. How far is this place from London. I'd love to come there (train for few few good hours of riding once in a while.

  • Its Royksopp; "Royksopp's Night Out" from Melody A.M.

  • Excelent! I like it very much. The music is good sounds like 007 music.
