bud I got a boy in my gym half the size of you and does 3 plates for 10 reps no spot needed, quit doing high reps low weight to make yourself look big and start building for strength if your tryna show off on you tube
It is impressive... what your 'boy' does. And he should definitely be a competitive strength athlete. BUT... I'm not a competitive strength athlete and don't care to be. And I prefer to be 180 than 90lbs or look it. More importantly, what do you bench press yourself, and is your boy's balls taste saltier after he does his set?
@dhindstheog shut the fuk up lil bitch and look at he's physique. not every person lifting is in competition like u and your boytoy. post a video if you wanna show off commenting on youtube.
very good lift for your bodyweight dude, just my opinion but using suicide grip is just asking for trouble, i seen some pretty horrific injuries caused using that grip. Keep up the great work though, your vids inspire many of us : )
Hey Kane, I notice you have your purple wrath beside you. A few questions; should somebody who is only doing calisthenics take it & How do you prepare it, because, it kinda looks like a slurpy/slushie.
Hey Kane is their any specific exercise, or actual program you'd attribute to your chest development or would you say its just good nutrition and genetics? You're chest is similar to Serge Nubret who I personally think had the greatest chest ever.
im so glad i found your channel because it has been very helpful...for putting on mass, any recommendations for reps/sets/rest/bodypart splits or nutrition?
@4mesure2 are you positive your form is correct? do you arch your back? if it still doesn't work, I'd switch to dumb bell bench press with medium weight that you can control and make sure you get that stretch on your chest when you go down
Timbah-Kane, Nice PR! Question(s): From reading other sites, I understand you're in short bulking cycles now, most of your year is "in cut" mode. What sort of bulk/cut cycles did you run younger, getting to where you are now? What sort of calorie surplus/deficit in those earlier cycles that got you to where you are now? What sort of BF% fluctuations? What would you do different re: bulk/cut surplus/deficit ideas if you could do it all over again?
kuya Kane your not the strongest person but just to have your knowledge in physical excercise and how things should work specific body parts is what amazes me. Keep it up and mabuhay ka lul.
i thouygth you were gnan surprise us all and go for like 10 reps... but its still good.. 315 for your weight is very good.. i hope i get to bench that much.
I spot my buddy and he uses suicide grips...he benches a shit load too so I'm always scared af he's gonna drop that shit on himself and I can't upright-row it lol
In all seriousness, with a physique like yours, I honestly would have guessed you'd be benching more. I mean still congratulations on the PR, but I just don't understand how you can do clap pull-ups like a joke but can only hit 315 for 2. I understand that the manipulation of one's body weight doesn't fully equate to being able to move heavy weights but still...
@sbdon71 I'm not debating that. And I'm sure he focuses on many other things because this is the first and only training video I've seen of him doing the bench press. That still doesn't change the fact I guessed he could bench more.
Do you feel like that arm band helps with pain in that area? This morning I did a set of 8,8, and 7 of 225 and that exact part of my arm was killing me but only on the right side.
@BaSeLiNee Its more comfortable for me and am able to push more. Everyone is different though some people feel stronger and more comfortable with the thumb go around the bar.
Kane, this is awesome! Are you 43? I think I read somewhere about your age, but not sure. And also, how long have you been working out? :D Keep it up!
@panbondzio007 Is he awesome? Yepp... but I would have to disagree a bit here. Sure he's the kingpin in his gym no question but I think I read somewhere that he spends like ALL day in the gym. Dude... you have a better body than 99% of anyone anywhere. Get outside a bit (and I don't mean to work out some more). There's no reason you can't maintain what you have with an hour a day 5-6 days a week. I'm sure your diet is pretty spot on so no worries there. What's it all leading up to? Enjoy life.
@elitedefense72 Maybe he enjoys going to the gym? Maybe he doesn't want to just maintain what he has? This is a PR for him so it should be apparent to you that he's still trying to improve his strength, not just maintain it. "Enjoy life" how do you know he doesn't enjoy life by just going to the gym? Peoples preferences differ from one another.
ALL day? I do sometimes workout 9-12 times per week but I hardly call that all day. And yes, if I was interested in only maintaining I could probably do that in 3-4 workouts per week. In fact I could probably still make gains training 3-4 times per week. As ceelman said though I do enjoy training. I rarely work more than 15 hours per week but probably still training that much per week. We each have different definitions of what we would consider 'enjoying life'.
@elitedefense72 enjoy life? u mean binge on booze, eat like crap and spend HOURS AND HOURS on facebook?? like timba said, we all have different definitions of what "enjoying life" means
@tuco1213 No I didn't mean anything like that. I guess I am more of an "outdoors" person. I don't do any of those things you mentioned. I exercise regularly and eat well. I just can't see spending that much time inside four walls every day. But Timbah is right... everyone has their own version of enjoying life. I was just questioning what the goal is? To compete? To run a business around it? Or is it just to be the top dog in the gym for his age and king of youtube? Anyway good work Timbah.
I understand. I have no plans to compete but I am actually opening my own studio pretty much for shits and giggles in January. LOL! As I've said in the past, training is no longer even a means to an end for me... I enjoy it that much that its an ends in itself. And I still enjoy life... if by life you mean "pop tarts and HD porn." ;)
That's still really strong for how small he looks. Really strong.
