there was a vid clip in there from 3:26 to 3:47. The vid clip was from Equilibrium. Only reason i noticed it cause ive seen Equilibrium vid so many times :) oh and also his legs are crossed a different way.
Hi, Hemin Sarhon the current manager of JOSE MARIA AMADOR "THE PIANI" we are trying to reach you for a poible fusion in your music with the most unique artist in Spain and we thought we qiue you two are unique in the world and must join and make a good project together please get in touch please THROUGH my sapce or tell me how can we do to something if you're interested concxretar would be very interesting fusion piano and flamenco guitar is great and we thank Sarhon Hemin uica ....
i want to learn it so bad, i'm already imaging that some girl sits next to me, i play this song, and then i say "that was written with you in my mind," yeah all girls will be MINE ))))))))
So why's this piece on youtube!? I think conveying that meaning to strangers (and likewise strangers conveying to me) is part of why I find music so captivating and rewarding. And if a girls not impressed/moved by this then you can safely ditch her!!
@cptspoofy I believe Erik has much more talent than Michael Hedges. What Hedges has that he doesn't is many more years of experience which will come in time.
@tylernstew That is such a bad thought. Hedges died unexpectedly. To treat that as an new realm of talent, age, is simply wrong. We can say Erik is exploring as Michael did.
@fenderbender92 hmm. I did not mean to offend anyone. I was not trying to imply that talent is measured by age or that age is talent. Talent, in my opinion, is how gifted you are at something you first pick up. It is not acquired through practice. However, skill and experience is. I was only attempting to imply that i believe Erik has major potential that will develop.
I am always grateful for emotive musicians like erik who put their souls into the music to where it pours out even without vocals... it's like he's making the guitar cry :X
because on youtube there are only kids who loves to see a farting monkey...works of art like this are not interesting to the mainstream people of YT sad but true
alot of times if you wanna really blow someone's mind with a guitar there are notes that you normally would play but you canskip and the mind will place them there and the listener will be like "wtf did he do that or did imagine it?" its funny to watch em after ya play stuff like that ;D erik does shit i could never even come close to doing tho, have to admit i'm a bit jealous
He's so relaxed, chilled, and calm... His sould pours into his work and art. A true artist. Watch his mannerisms and the passion for what he does... How intricate and delicate he is with how well he plays... And that guitar itself plays well for him.
This is probably my favorite song off Erik's album. It just has such a great rhythm to it, a great flow. The music just definitely makes you feel, and that's what I love about all of Erik's music on his Equilibrium album.
the mental capacity that this type of acoustic guitar playing takes is insane.... and erik completely masters it. the one guitar sounds like 2 or 3. along with playing the guitar Erik also adds in a pounding sound to make the song even more complex, but it isnt complex as in Eddie van Halen or other guitarists out there who play very fast...and most of the time sloppy...he just plays a different kind of complex....a crisp mellow complex.
with guitarists like eddie, it's more like there mind only has to be in one place to tell one story. But eric's mind appears to be encompassing a much larger idea that he's trying to expose through the guitar with more elements then it seems the guitar can handle. That's just the way it seems to me.
u said it dude. not many guitarists tell a story through the guitar anymore, let alone a complex story such as Erik. so many guitarist have to sing to tell the story, unlike Erik, and dont use all of the guitar, such as pounding and slapping his finger to get a more rugged and harsh sound.
well u see in most band they will have a singer to tell the story or the point they are tryin to get across and there can only be one possible story or explanation. with Eriks songs, there can be many interpretations and they are very detailed.
There is no one else like this guy. I have never been so amazed before. For this style of music that he plays, no one can touch him.
Really humble too, Ive never actually talked to someone like this before(he actually reads his forums and posts from time to time) and its just inspiring.
