MTSU Band of Blue plays the Tennessee Waltz

I just got settled after my first game with BoB and I honestly must say, to the troll below, SCREW DISCIPLINE, THIS IS NOT A SPORT. THIS IS A NONCOMPETITIVE BAND. You want discipline, join a drum corps. College band is purely entertainment for the fans, and they are nothing like DCI judges. Discipline doesn't matter. We're there to hype people up and WE HYPE THEM UP!

We're a noncompetitive band and we act as such. If you take issue with that...well, there's nothing I can do about that.

Prof. Cornish is one of the best directors out there. He cares about the band a lot, and cares about the music. He does lack on discipline, but the band sounds amazing. And that's all that matters. The drunk people don't care that you're out of step, or are dancing in the stands. They want to here some damn good music, and Prof. Cornish gives that. And that's coming from someone who has been in the TN's big college's band (UT, Vandy). This is by far the best band I've ever been in.

I think the worst performance of it in my first season here. Dang it, if only our soloist would save something for this instead of blowing his chops. However, this was our first game of the season. It's still inexcusable, since the soloist is an upper classman/section leader.

The soloist butchered it, too many people jacking around, no discipline. Nice balanced sound on this number, though. Joe Smith would assasinate you guys for such lousy discipline. If you need to know who that is, look on the wall in Wright. He is the guy who built what you are representing so poorly.

@bhkidd Controlling nearly 400 college students is not so easily done. No, they should not screw around as much, but this is a football band not a competitive band. Few take it as seriously as I wish. Please, calm down and if you have issues (especially if you are alumni), talk to Prof. Cornish, rather than bashing the band on youtube.
