i got a 83 honda also, did your friend put on the circular tachs or did he buy it like that? looks way better than stock plus my RPM and MPH needles stick and arent very accurate after i slid it in some gravels

I've been riding bikes on the street for 31 years, so I have a little experience at this. I'm dissapointed to see y'all riding up through four wheeler traffic illegally like y'all did. Not smart, quite dangerous actually, and a poor example for other YouTube watchers.

Please don't continue your haphazard street riding and showing it here. I'm trying to be friendly here - I just think you / your buds ought to rethink what you do on the road. Be courteous, follow the law, and be safe.

I had a 84 v65 Magna. It was a scary fast bike! In a straight line not much can beat them accept the Busa and a few of the bigger sport bikes. I miss that bike!

10.94 1/4 mile. blew the standing quarter away, and that was stock for 83. i got an 85 1100 myself. nice bikes

@chipechawa its the motor, its the way they built those V-4's, i dont care what anybody claims oh its rice its all abt the HOG, im sorry but those V-4's are faster than almost any harley. the V65 is an 1100cc, now imagine a VMAX thats got a 1200cc V-4 liquid cooled motor-there is no bike that is faster, period. baggin on japanese made bikes really gets old, just shows ignorance and theres no reason for it. Let the bike speak for itself

was that a second gear stand up? did you use the clutch?

i havent tryed standing in second, but i cant seem to get it up at all in first, my sv1000 is even -1 on the frount sprocket.

its really fustrating

My SV1000 gets up in 1st and 2nd pretty easy. First gear is Nutz though lol. Umm no clutch work at all... It's a twin with torque after all, just roll at around 40 mph and Roll on the throttle it comes up every time(in 2nd that is) ...again 1st gear is nutz so maybe start slow at around like 10mph

idk, i can get them up in first no problem, hold them as long as i like, but second i cant even get over 6inchs, no matter where i rev it.

idk, ill have to just keep trying at it.

oh yeah I forgot when i first started try'n to do second gear i had to stand up, slow down from about 45 mph and then "spring up" the front end. I've had the power commander and pipes for a while now and forgot :P

pipes and the power commander is helping your mid-range alot.

i gutted the stock pipes when i was in florida, and it was fine, but now that im at a high elevation, the stock fuel map isent enought anymore.

guess ill i have to go pick one up.
