The Beatles themselves were like other men, but the music and lyrics channeled through them contained magic and hidden messages. To learn how to perceive these hidden meanings, search "Truth Contest" in Google and click the 1st result, then open The Present and read through the section about The Beatles.
There is a lot of discussion on many forums about these 2 songs and their similarities. Quite a few speculate that Tomorrow never knows was inspiration for Setting Sun.
I always realized the connection between these two songs ever since I heard 'The Setting Sun' in 1997. Nobody ever f*cking believed me. I thought I was going nuts!
It's interesting to hear how modern and fresh Ringo's drums still sound over 40 years later, for "Tomorrow never knows" he stuffed pillows into his drums and then their producer George Martin compressed the sound of them to no ends.
Thats a cool remix of this song. I think the length was meant to reach 4:20, but the mp3 or another process after that with the video added 3 seconds. It tends to do that.
John Lennon's masterpiece is best UNTOUCHED, IMO, but this isn't bad. I still say you can't improve on them. I will say the beatles + NIN for "come closer together" is AMAZING.
Sounds like you either have your beatmatching off, or have double-bass going on. Turn off the bass in one of the tracks and I bet you the mix will sound a lot better! Very fucking awesome idea btw, I always thought both songs sounded like they could be mixed well together.
It's a great, but anybody can easily tell that the tracks aren't perfectly synched. Just listen to both the kick and snare drums. The concept is good, but this can be done better.
I have to say i love both songs immensely.. never in a million years thought that id ever hear them mixed together.. you did a FUCKING awesome job!!!!!!!
I'm definately not surprised. It's a fairly obvious remix as Setting Sun was inspired by Tomorrow Never Knows, much like many of The Chemical Brothers other songs. The Beatles even tried to sue them for plagarism!
The beatles must have had some l.s.d at that time......Psychedeleia..!!!!!!

I agree there's a little rhythmic syncopation however it's still pretty well done.

@mrbrockpeters : I BELIEVE YOU ON THAT,... I THINK SETTING SUN IS A RIP-OFF OF TOMORROW NEVER KNOWS,.. BUT THEY RARELY NOTICE IT,..

@iconoclastdelacroix I wouldn't call it a rip off. No, not at all. I like the Setting Sun. I think of it more as a homage.
