    TOPS Knives Tom Brown Tracker

    Cold Steel SRK

    K-Bar Combat Knife Army Edition..well Army cause i <3 Army :)

All of those knives are every reliable and most are combat proven.

  • Here is a few oter suggestions for knives.

    Cold Steel SRK

    TOPS Tom Browns Tracker

    K-Bar.

I have the SRK and its a very durable knife, ive impaled a can and cut the lid open before. The Tracker also has so many uses.

  • A very good tool to have is the T.O.Ps Knives Tom brown Tracker. Its a tool not a knife. Every edge of it can be used for several different tasks. Just look into it.

  • In Scandinavia We don't need handguns! but as being in the "back-country a lot,

as I'm not a Rambo-type I'm not into the oversized stuff.

I need a good knife that does the job... period.

Always on the move with two,a big for overall use and a small backup for skinning and other more delicate work.

Don't like switchblades when I'm away in the wilderness,pocket-knives are easy to lose or in the wrong place when you need them.

Just some thoughts but I like Your reviewe !!!

  • @NIDANWalthersan i live in the usa and i live in an area where i don't NEED a handgun either... but they are nice to have! never hurts to be prepared , take care

  • i have an old fury

  • I own a glock knife and they are tuff. They are not a full tang, but they go deep in the handle and cost under $30.

  • not the best knives for making it in the wild .. these knives display too much of a tactical mentality

  • @stymye not the best knives for making it in the wild .. these knives display too much of a tactical mentality.......Couldnt agree more.

A far better choice for survival knives would be the Cold Steel Trailmaster... Ontario RTAK II or RD9...Buck Hoodlum...Condor knives Parang... or the good ol' mil issue Ontario Machete... Pair it with a good multitool like the SwissToolX..Swisschamp..Leatherman Charge..ect...and you will be far better prepared for a "Survival" situation at half the price.

  • Thanks so much for this video. I have been saving up for a while to buy one, but wanted to know the pros and cons before I shell out that amount of money. I'd hate to spend that much and regret I bought it.

  • what do you put on your knives to keep them from rusting. I just picked up a esee 5 and some sources say silicon and some say oil. please help.

  • Great knife set and info. Thanks for sharing~ Sootch00

  • @sootch00 wow, cool having you on the channel brother. Love your vids.

  • @theroadwarri0r can you cut wood with the 2nd one how durable is it i live in the woods and i don.t

have a gun with me all the time and i want to have a self defense weapon have a folder but i don.t trust it with my life

  • I picked up a knife from the Grayman. Very nice knife and exceedingly tough. I got a "Darfur Defender" with the saw teeth on the spine and micarta scales for the grip.

  • Thanks for introducing the Swamp Rat to me. I'm a newbie knife enthusiast. I've been looking for a survival knife with a prominent guard for stab cutting as well as a choil for choking-up. I haven't seen many knives that fit this bill. Thanks again.

  • The swamprat is insane bro. Busse is king!

  • where did u get the swamp rat? there website is just like a forum. Also how much were those water stones and where did u get them?

  • @iconhelmets ordred the swamp rat directly from the company a few years back. THe wet stones were purchased from amazon. Good luck.

  • Great video! I had to go with the S&W search and rescue and a meat cleaver as I was broke the month I wanted to get knives covered. Can anybody please reccomend a good manufacturer for boots? I mean last a lifetime / SHTF boots, I have this on my list and want to buy a couple of pairs, break them in and then get it crossed off my prepping list. Thanks again everybody, I appreciate it.

  • I picked up an AK47 bayonet from J&G sales for $6. I was surprised that after some work cleaning off all of the cosmoline and sharpening it it's actually a decent quality knife. The blade is solid and really thick it has saw teeth and in conjunction with the sheath can be used as bolt cutters. My one complaint would be that I'm not a fan of the grip on it. But for $6 I'll live with it. All around I think it's a cheap option for an all purpose knife, combat, survival etc.

  • I knew we had alot of things in common. For serious utility and hard work, full tang, flat gind knives are the only way to go as far as I'm concerned. Other styles of knives have their place ( knives for fighting, collecting, etc ) but when you talk about the "thick spine", thats a flat ground blade, and the knife being "all one piece" thats a full tang. These knives are designed for heavy duty useage! Ya'll better start paying more attention to this man and the science he's droppin'!

  • Great collection - beautiful knives.

  • KA-BAR BK2 Campanion thats my favorite

  • I roam the streets with my Fury rambo knife.

  • Nice vid! I have a Becker BK7. It's a great knife too. You can get Becker knives from Kabar now. Thanks.

  • Sweet knives.

  • nice, i was always waiting for a knive video from the road warrior!

  • I like the stainless carbon mix because while I like the easier sharpening of the carbon steel, I like the lesser rust maintenance of stainless. Great vid and good advice as always! Keep up the good work brother!

  • What kind of AK do u own

  • @Ryder0001 Underfolder.

  • Another great vid brother. Thank you!

  • love your vids dude

  • cold steel machete $20

  • Don't forget a good crossbow will get you a dinner without letting the whole countryside know you got a kill.

  • @NovusChaoMundi good suggestion.

  • @theroadwarri0r if not a cross bow a goor recurve bow

  • @NovusChaoMundi true, and they have made it legal in my state this year to hunt with crossbows. they are only $150-300 for a nice bow with around 150-180+lbs. with laser sights and/or a scope

  • @NovusChaoMundi Store Food. Everybody will be shooting game for the first 6 months in 75 percent of the county. After that ALL game will be exuasted in most areas unless very isolated mountain areas.

  • Awesome stuff. Thanks for the video.

  • -- Good info sir! Thanks for sharing as always! ---- Beautiful knives BTW!

  • Very nice with some great points. A great option for those on a budget is a Becker bk-2. Its a great bush-craft knife for right around 60 bucks. There are lots of vids on YT about them. Best part, its made in the USA.

  • @hinckleypoland great suggestion! I love Becker knives.

  • That Swamp rat M6 looks cool.

I engineer with titanium and was thinking. Could you make a knife in Titanium grade 5?

    Has it been done already?

Titanium is 40% lighter than steel and corrosion proof.

I tried bending a 1mm thick piece of ti last year. It was insane! It snapped before it got 90degrees but I used all my force to do it on a 1inch wide strip.

Iv'e never tried sharpening titanium but I bet it works.

  • My only large knife is a 12" bowie machete from CS. Only $20 (maybe more now) That thing can take a beating and it sharpens real easy. But it's a good thing it's easy to resharpen because it doesn't hold its edge for very long.

  • Thumbs up!!!!

  • hey does that shealth fit your rat good

  • @TheSchustanater eh..it fits good enough. You can reshap it with a heat gun to make it work better.

  • Great video !!! Glad to see more vids from ya!

  • That M6 Rocks. Have a nice collection myself. Just got a swamprat Waki couple weeks back. Any ideas on who makes sheths for unusal blades? Great vid. thumbs up as usual.

  • @SOFSEC1 - just click on my channel. It would take me longer to tell you about them than it would for you to look. Thanks.

  • I see a Smith MP on your table. Wonderful pistol.

  • Nice knives, I like the look of the first one (randal?). I agree with having full tanged and I prefer to see the steel through the handle (just my pref.). The size of those knives are my prefered size also for an all around utility and survival knife. Thanks for the post.

  • great vid. nice sheep dog patch where can i get one?

  • @SOFSEC1 I made a vid a few days ago and less than a month before that. DId you see those?

  • Great video! What do you think of the M-9 Bayonet?

  • @anderman72 I don't have one so I can't comment.

  • Ive got a GERBER millitary issue. Its the green one made out of stainless steel. it has a 1/2 serrated edge, and the butt end has a point to break windows.Im pretty happy with it. It says on the website that you could cut your way out of the fusalodge of an aircraft, and I tried cutting a hole in a travel trailer, it came out just as sharp as it went in.

  • I ordered my father a Model 1 Randall, of course still waiting for it. I noticed you went with the carbon over stainless. How is it holding up or does it see much use?

  • @YokoWenis no, my Randall is Stainless. The only carbon blade in that vid is the Swamp Rat, it's holding up really well. I carry it everywhere, hiking etc. I even use it in the kitchen.

  • Great vid! Have you run across any knives made from used files? I have heard that those knives made from old files are some pretty badd@ss work knives.

  • @libarata no but I've seen knives made from EOD breacher bars.

  • @libarata i've heard the same thing. i have never seen anything to back this up except when the history channel talks about how in the recycling world a ww2 ship or anything from that era is considered the best steel to get because it hadn't been recycled a million times like modern steel.

  • @cowboybob3000

The way I have had it explained is that files are used to scrap away tougher metals used in all manners, so when the file becomes dull and what not, older companies(enter in Buck) would take those and grind them into knives, they "should" sharpen easier, and have a sharper edge though not stay as sharp as long as modern knives(but are sharper when sharp) That and you also have the non recycled heaps of scrap from older ships that are considered over all a higher tier all together

  • Supposedly carbon steel holds an edge longer than stainless.

  • @gearboy12550 I've found that carbon steel is easier to sharpen but stainless seems to have a more durable edge.

  • I was thinking about putting a good edge on my M8A1. Ever done it? Or do you know if the metal is something to do it to????

  • Pistols have been banned in the UK but you can still get them on the black market!

  • @Zeamus634

Prision is no place to live out the SHTF collapse!

  • Thanks.

  • lots of good info thanks i am geting the becker BK2 tell me what you guys think of that Knife

  • @berwolf16 I have a BK77T. Love it. I think becker may be out of business. Keep that knife!

  • @theroadwarri0r you can still buy it on Amazon but not for long i love this knife ill do a video on it

  • i guess i left out that i carry that halligan tool when i am on or in a vehicle. kinda heavy to carry. just sayin. . .

  • @carlokrenzelak I have one of those...freaking heavy.

  • i have seen some folks talk about tools to have in various situations. i was wondering if you have opinions on this? i havenot practiced bugging out but muy friend and i put together a small toolkit we always take with us when we go into the woods. my favorite is a smaller halligan tool, but it certainly can't do too many things on its own. any ideas?

  • Good vid.

    -TEW

  • Another great video. Stay safe.

  • My go to knife would be the EESE R-4.

You don't make enough videos! But the ones you do make are great. Thx

  • @2lowvdub I'm active duty military. Pretty busy. Unfortunately I can't upload too many videos. I think I have 45 or so uploaded though. Thanks for the props.

  • Great video RW! Nice Swamp Rat

  • I was watching H channel and the Skinheads were out looking for a N to beat with their freshly bought baseball bats they found a homeless N but that N was smart he had a large machete and was able to scare off the SKHZ they then went seeking another target they located a man that had mental issues he was white but they needed someone to beat that would not fight back so the mentally ill was the best bet for the night. Machete $6 any walmart for that price the homeless should have 2.

  • @cdltpx perhaps I don't understand you but it appears that you are letting your candid thoughts flow on to the keyboard. What is an N? Are you referring to blacks? It seems that you are. If so, I would ask you to keep these sorts of comments to yourself and at the minimum, off my channel. If I'm wrong and you were not referring to blacks as "Ns", I apologize. Thanks.

  • @theroadwarri0r OMG a censor? I was using cleaner language than the H channel was.I am Wigger a white man that might as well be a N why well I have black forefathers was married to a black woman and get along with all B,W,H,A,NA. I don't appreciate you chastizing me for relaying a story of a man using a knife to save his life the essence of the video you were making. Were you just showing your wealth and your WISE decision to buy pricey knives?I don't call people those names they do all day.

  • @cdltpx

He CAN "censor" what and who he wishes on his channel. Not only that, but his channel is for "survival" type tings like he states very early on in this video. A bunch of Skinheads going after a black man, and that man having a Machete to fend of some racists does not have anything do do with his monologue on a knife being a tool in a kit along with firearms and his own choices. He ALSO states that you can buy other less expensive knives if you wish, he just had the money for these.

  • @libarata Never said he could not censor I just stated that if he wants to show he has a superiority complex censor me.Jus making a statement that was not talking down about anyone other than the violent people that were looking to kill people they were looking for a N to kill but they were not able to kill that man cause he was a MAN not a punk. What to put in a kit I go to my kitchen and grab a knife I paid $5 for it works just fine and I already got 10 years use out of it and it works fine.

  • @cdltpx I don't think I'm being unreasonable to ask you not to refer to blacks as "Ns." If you can't do that, UNSUBSCRIBE and move on. Furthermore, I thought I was very reasonable with you and I don't appreciate YOU accusing me of "showing my wealth." I'm just trying to help people here. I'm active duty military and this is not a very wealthy profession. Either don't respond to this or respond with respect, like I did with you.

  • @cdltpx dildo

  • @cdltpx i like your train of thought ! heres another. the hells angels carry around ball peen hammers. why you ask ? b/c its not against the law to do so. they are quite effective in inflicting damage, AND are quite easy to tote around. for them, id think a big machete would be too en cumbersome, but a BP hammer not. Cheers.

  • @Gizziiusa A lot of the HA carry guns 2. I love the videos that teach you to use anything as a weapon the HL man that came out the box was smart had he not had that machete had he come against bats with a hammer or a knife he would have the hell beat out of him but a machete will reach out and get you if he had a bike chain too he could have taken them down and saved that poor guy from getting beat. IDK why people think it is ok to look down on others all have their role in life to play.

  • Excellent video. I prefer my Cold Steel SRK, or my Esee-5 SERE

  • What's your take on the KABAR? I just bought a US Army one with serrated edge/leather handle/sheath...

  • @TheReaperMedic best knife for the money.

  • @TheReaperMedic some brands that say KABAR are chinese made. Check the fine print. I don't buy chinese made fixed blade knives.

  • First muahahah, love ur videos roadwarrior
