Actually the response seems instant. Believe the the pressure wave down the tube travels at the speed of sound.. But shorter tubes might improve things, best way would be to try it. I've thought of other designs, one being more like a pan flute style and no tubes, but this is what I got so far. Thanks for your thoughts.
Is there a reason you used such long tubing. If the flutes were mounted to the didge the tubes could be shorter. I understand that long blow tubes can cause the flute to be less responsive because you have to compress all the air in the long tube.
