If you analyze it from a Darwinian perspective (implicit in a critic's argument), you would have to admit that it is not beneficial for a species to have homosexuality, since that would arrest the growth and continuation of a species. Atheists assert that there is no God, and constantly put an unfair pressure on Christians to prove that he DOES exist, but never care to explain what proof they have that he DOES NOT exist. In short, it's much simpler to believe in God than to follow an Atheist disbeliefs. They cannot give a rational explanation for the creation of the world, why there is evil, or why people believe in a God or not. Having a faith in something is just easier and has apparently made lots of people happy.

@BYawnsProductions Actually, rational explanations for the creation of the universe and the Earth do exist. There are also rational explanation for why there is evil in the world. As far as the existence of God goes; You are the ones making the assertion. It is up to you to prove it.
If it makes you happy, that's fine. But the problem comes when many religious individuals use that same religion as an excuse for repressive laws and policies.

Yeah! Most gay people that I know say they would much rather have been born straight because it is a lot less stressful and antagonizing. Gayness is very much not a choice, and should be treated with the same sobriety and tolerance as we would give anyone else with a minor physiological malformation.

It'll take a long time to get everyone to accept gay couples... but when you really think about it... we don't need them to accept it. All you really need is for them to let you make your own decisions (and since it was prohibited by law, that wasn't legally possible). Kudos to NY for letting people live the way they want to! <3

The term "gay" or homosexual means that one falls in love with the same sex, not the opposite. That's all it is. Nothing else. It's not complicated. The lifestyle is determined by that person only, not by their sexual orientation. There is no "GAY lifestyle" - there is only "lifestyle"
